Moonlight has released the first PSP custom IPL, which is an extension of the firmware 1.5 IPL providing numerous features.
Feature for user:
- It bypasses ta-082+ brick, so you can have a ta-082+ without any key patched running 1.50 kernel based firmwares.
Feature for programmer:
- It dumps 0xbfc00000, the psp boot code prior to ipl, to the address 0x883e0000 (which is not touched by 1.50 kernel). To get the boot code in a 1.50 original firmware, just run kdumper, and extract 0x3e0000-0x3effff from the kmem.bin file -> that's the psp boot code. If you are in a cfw, you will have to execute the kdumper as a recovery or autoboot, because the 3.XX kernel overwrites the 0x883e0000 memory.
Note that this ipl is flashed to the nand, not written to the ms.

From the ReadMe: We are proud to present the first custom firmware for the PSP Slim, and the first custom firmware that runs using a 3.XX IPL (3.60)
Download: PSP 3.60 M33 [Archive Pass: _I_LOVE_M33_Slim_Conquered]
3.60 M33 for PSP Slim has all the features of 3.52 M33, except the 1.50 kernel support, as that kernel doesn't work properly on psp slim (hardware problems, screen problems). 3.60 M33 will load homebrew from GAME, GAME150 and GAME360 directories, but all will be executed with 3.60 kernel.
This mean that some homebrews done specifically for the 1.50 kernel cannot work on 3.60 M33. However, the adaptation of code to 2.XX+ kernels is not difficult, and homebrew developers can port their applications to work in these firmwares.
Included with the release is the M33 sdk for programmers.
Installation: The installation is done using pandora battery and requi... More »
Today M33 have decrypted v3.71 Firmware, and below are the details from their PSAR Dumper update:
Download: PSARDumper v3.7x [Archive Pass: PSARDUMPER_FOR_NEW_AGE]
This is a recode of psardumper for 2.XX & 3.XX kernels.
If you are in a cfw of the fat psp, be sure to put it in GAME3XX or in GAME if you have it configured for 3.XX kernel.
Support for 3.7X decryption has also been added.
The instructions are same as for original psardumper, except that you don't need the DATA.PSAR in the root of memory stick, but instead the EBOOT.PBP; this is to make it more noobs-friendly and lazy-friendly.
AhMan has ported the latest version of SNESTYL, an SNES emulator for the PSP, to kernel 3.X. This means it is now fully compatible with the new PSP Slim and Lite.

To quote: "Another emulator ported to firmware 3.x, aka for PSP Slim. The usb mass storage has been removed and no longer available due to the emu is now running completely under user mode. This will probably be the last emu I’ve interest to port. Have fun!"

To quote from the site linked above: As we promised a long time ago we have now finished a version of eLoader which can be run from a custom firmware and HEN.
Download: PSP eLoader v1.000
I know that a lot will probably wonder what the use of this is now that we have Pandora out so that anyone can downgrade, well the main reason is the PSP-Lite. As a lot of people are finding out the PSP Lite is unable to run 1.50 kernel, this means that old homebrew games are not able to run on the PSP Lite custom firmware, however eLoader makes it possible to run some of these older games without needing to recompile them. So I hope all you new PSP Lite owners enjoy getting to see some of the old homebrew games running on the new device.

Hacker Robinsond has open-sourced the schematics sources and details that are required to make your your own PIC interface required to perform the timing attack that allows you to boot the 1888 base kernel. This means even if you have burned fuses and dont know your CPU key, you can boot to the respective kernel and update the exploitable kernel.

The timing attack is working well now, the software has been released for testing and if no major problems are found then it will be available at the end of the week. The first release will require an Infectus modchip and a "... More »
Today M33 released Custom Firmware v3.71 for PSP. From their Web site linked above:
Download: PSP 3.71 M33 CFW [Right-click & Save As, No Password]
"Official Announcement: 3.71 M33 Released. It will be our last but one release. In the near future, it will be released a Slim & Fat Unbricker, and a 1.50 kernel patch.
First of all, thanks for all your donations. It's time to make the Scene think into what has it turned. NOW you can look for guilty ones.
And, to finish, greetings to pspx.ru and all the ones that have helped us in this crusade.
M33 == Dark_AleX"
According to their statement it looks like M33 is Dark_AleX after all in case anyone was confused.
According to the Void Team blog: We are working very hard in this CFW for the Scene will be better than now. In this moment the CFW is:
- Special Recovery.
- Kernel 1.50
- Themes Unofficial (we're working in this)
In this weekend we put new images of our CFW 3.71 VE.
Today Dark_AleX released a 1.50 kernel add-on for CFW 3.71 M33. It's important to NOTE that the add-on will not work on PSP Slim units as the hardware is incompatible with the 1.50 kernel.
Download: 1.50 Kernel Add-on For 3.71 M33
Instructions:
- Copy the directory UPDATE to /PSP/GAME/UPDATE.
- Get Sony 1.50 update and copy it to the root with name “150.PBP”
- Run the program and done.
Notes:
- This program is only for PSP fat. The program will reject PSP slim, due to the 1.50 kernel not working on it.
