174w ago - PlayStation Network Executive Producer Kevin Furuichi has shared a video preview of Qore Episode 27 today, which features Kane & Lynch 2, Splatterhouse, TerRover and more, as follows:
For the follow up to 2007's Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, developer IO Interactive has decided to present the sequel from Lynch's point of view.
So what's it like seeing the world through the eyes of a warped psychopath? About what you would expect–disturbing and occasionally disorienting. Qore presents a sneak peek at the frantic action, including a preview of the popular online "Fragile Alliance" mode.
Namco's 1988 arcade game, Splatterhouse, attracted a bit of controversy for its violent nature. In fact, in those pre-ESRB days, the home console version was released with an "inappropriate for young children... and cowards" warning on the box.
The next-gen reboot of the franchise isn't shying away from controversy either–we almost couldn't show it to you! Audrey Cleo spoke to Namco's producer about what it took to bring Rick back to life.
Amidst the pomp and circumstance that is E3, Veronica...

295w ago - On April 17, Eidos will release a set of four Kane and Lynch multiplayer maps to Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network at the friendly price of absolutely free. To learn a bit more about what we can expect out of the download, IGN went to Kim Krogh, game director for the fragile alliance multiplayer mode.
IGN: Kane & Lynch received a decent critical response from press outlets. What kind of feedback have you gotten from consumers since release?
Kim Krogh: The consumer feedback has been overwhelming for both Kane & Lynch and Fragile Alliance. Players who bought and played the game seem to love it. We got a lot of positive feedback from people who really love the style, atmosphere and game play. Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is not your typical shooter and consumers seem to really like this for the special kind of cinematic crime shooter it is.
IGN: How well have these two grisly main characters resonated with fans? Do people connect with them at all or are they seen more as over-the-top, Arnold Schwarzenegger in Commando style characters?
Krogh: Players seem to love the fact that this is not the typical over-the-top commando hero and seem to have less trouble actually connecting with that. From the feedback we have got they seem to have adopted and understood Kane and Lynch as anti heroes...
324w ago - Eidos Interactive announced today that Kane and Lynch: Dead Men, it's buddy-action, prison-breaking title from IO Interactive (Hitman), will be released in North America for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on November 20th.
Sound familiar? That's because this pre-Thanksgiving release date has already been assigned to such expected single-console blockbusters as Mass Effect and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, providing a multiplatform competitor to both -- and one expensive day for gamers (especially if GameStop is right about Rock Band's release date).
Kane and Lynch: Dead Men finds crazed lunatic Lynch busting mercenary Kane out of jail, thrusting the odd couple on a series of gritty exploits to return a stolen briefcase to the merc's former employer -- otherwise, Kane's wife and daughter will be executed. Packing the intensity of a heist film with squad-based gunplay, Kane and Lynch looks to offer a rather different play experience than those starring Agent 47.
"Kane and Lynch: Dead Men redefines the action shooter genre, delivering real characters, driven to do terrible things by the circumstances and mistakes in their lives," said Robert Lindsey, executive VP of sales and marketing at Eidos. "It's a fantastic story, boasting a wicked plot with one hell of a sting in the tale at the end -...
