54w ago - Sorcery Creative Director Brian Upton at SCEA Santa Monica Studio has posted up a video showcasing the making of Sorcery: A Hero's Journey for PlayStation 3 fans.
Top quote: In this installment of our "Making of Sorcery" video series, we take a look at the fantasy surrounding the spell-casting gameplay and tap a few members of the development team (including myself) to discuss the origins of the story.
Our key leads at The Workshop and our Santa Monica Studio were able to provide some great insight into the relationship between the main characters, the motivation of our villain, and the inspiration for the world we created.
As you know, Sorcery brings the world of magic and wizardry to life using the PlayStation Move motion controller. To give you a quick refresher on the story and gameplay...the Nightmare Queen has broken the ancient pact with mankind and threatens to cover the land in eternal night.
As a young sorcerer's apprentice, it is up to the player to master the arcane arts and fight back the foul creatures of this magical realm. Sorcery puts the power in the players' hands letting them conjure and command powerful magic as they brave the dark world of the Faerie Kingdoms.

99w ago - SCEA Associate Producer Randall Lowe at Santa Monica Studio has shared some more details on Journey for PS3 today, which is coming to Sony's PlayStation Network.
To quote: Journey is our third exclusive game with SCEA's Santa Monica Studio for PS3 and PSN, and we're trying something new, something that we hope changes the way people think about online gaming.
As you may have heard, in Journey, players take on the role of travelers headed to a mysterious mountain in the distance. But unlike our previous two games, flow and Flower, Journey is presents our vision of what an online adventure can be.
As you explore Journey, you may cross paths with other travelers. You can to join and play with up to one other player at a time.
But what makes Journey different is that there are no online lobbies, no matchmaking, no PSN IDs, and no chat. You are the character, limited to the ways of communication of the character itself. Will you choose to travel together - or go your own way? What secrets lie in the mysterious, sand-covered ruins of this world?
We had a great time at E3 talking to all of the press that stopped by the Sony booth. And we couldn't be more proud after Journey...

152w ago - President and co-founder of ThatGameCompany Kellee Santiago gas officially announced their latest project- Journey for Sony's PlayStation 3 entertainment system.
To quote: The inspiration for Journey came from Jenova Chen's feeling that in the modern world where man has so much power, we have lost an integral aspect of the human experience - awe towards the unknown.
And we can see this in our video games as well. But don't take it from me! Here's Jenova to talk about it more:
In today's society, man is powerful - We can travel at 60 mph; we can fly; we can connect with just about anyone, anywhere, at anytime. But on the street, people pass by each other ignoring the wonderful existence of other beings.
We are overwhelmed by the attention needed to gain and execute our own power - just like we are in most video games. While we are doing that, we can become isolated and insecure deep inside our mind.
On the contrary, when we are hiking in the wild, we become tiny and weak again. These feelings make every other person we encounter much more important and enjoyable. We greet them, giving them genuine and useful help. We might travel together for a period, learn from and rely on each other.
