1w ago - Dontnod Entertainment Creative Director JMax shared some fresh art, an interactive journal and a PS3 Q&A for Remember Me with fans today.
To quote: Hi everyone, this is Jmax, Creative Director at the developer Dontnod Entertainment. We are the guys behind Capcom's newest (and most exciting!) title, Remember Me.
The game will be coming out on the 7th June in Europe and in the run down to the launch I would like to bring you some news about the game, let you know what is going on and hopefully answer your questions.
Remember Me takes place in Neo-Paris in 2084. In this future, thanks to an implant known as Sensen, you can record everything you see, hear and feel, giving birth to a memory trading economy where you can share or even sell those memories.
As cool as all this sounds there is a potentially more sinister side to this world as one company, Memorize, controls all the memory data (imagine having a smart phone and social media directly tapped into your brain!) and this begs the question who is watching the watchmen?
Not everyone in Neo-Paris agrees with one company having so much power and set out to bring Memorize down, this group call themselves the Erorrists. In the...
13w ago - According to a recently uncovered Sony patent, it appears they are planning to implement a new form of interactive advertising in their next-generation PS4 / PlayStation 4 gaming console.
Below are the details from DualPixels.com (linked above), to quote: "SCEA is going next gen even with advertisements. Discovered just before PS4's imminent announcement, this new Sony patent shows new motion tech which allows you to interact with the advertisement.
This new form of marketing allows users to speed up the time of the ad by collaborating with it to complete virtual food orders; think Burger King.
The patent also seem to have a ton of social inter-connectivity as rumored that PS4 would sport large amounts of integration with the social networking universe. Check it out for yourself."
41w ago - IO Interactive Community Manager Nick Price has unveiled the Contracts Mode in upcoming PS3 video game title Hitman: Absolution today.
To quote: One of the best things about working with a vibrant and productive community, such as the one attached to the Hitman games, is that you can learn a lot by just watching people play.
Going back to the previous games in the Hitman series, we've always enjoyed watching videos of how the fans tackle the different levels; both in terms of strategy and approach to the emergent systems within the game but also in terms of how they change the rules by going against the core of the level.
A great example is when we see people trying to set up mission parameters all by themselves. The previous games didn't really support this - you were supposed to play a level in one of several different ways but targets always remained the same - but the fans pretty quickly started setting up conditions for completion themselves.
Kill everyone with a particular weapon. Don't get spotted by anyone. Only wear the chicken outfit. Kill that waiter in the bar at the Meat King's party.
Sometimes these conditions would be extremely hard to fulfill but equally satisfying when they did get completed. So for...
42w ago - Today Fun Bits Interactive Team Lead Chris Millar has announced that Escape Plan: Underground DLC officially arrives on PSN this week.
To quote: Escape Plan is tunneling through with new content for everyone this week. The Underground DLC pulls up for a discounted price of just €1.99/£1.59 for two weeks, Patch 1.03 goes live, and we've unpacked a ton of new costumes.
After being denied their freedom from The Asylum, we join Lil and Laarg as they ride the elevator into the depths of Bakuki's Underground. The darkness is filled with a convoluted network of trains, trollies, minions, and dare we say, an escape.
Building off the success of The Asylum, we've added four new costumes to the dressing room. Dress the lovable characters in the new Buzz and Flower Power Summer Pack costumes, with Furry and Tourist costumes unlocked by playing through the 21 Underground levels.
Did we mention the new challenges and four Trophies! Yay, Trophies!
We've also dug into consumer feedback and have added the new squeeze control to the Circle Button. This squeezes Lil while inflated or juiced-up on java.
We've also taken in more of you tips and suggestions and have applied as many as we can to help improve your experience. So we're returning the favour...
