Video: What is N++? An Intro to the PlayStation 4 Action-Platformer

31w ago - Metanet Co-Founder Mare Sheppard is here today with an introduction video to their PlayStation 4 action-platformer called N++ below.

To quote: Hi everyone! This is Metanet, back with another update. Since our last post, we've been focused on getting N++ into an alpha state, which has mostly involved adding all of the particle effects, sounds, and animation that help to really bring things to life.

While the main core of the game has been working for a while, it's nice to finally see things with more bells and whistles!

We've also been making and arranging levels - a continuous process that will go on right up until the game ships - as well as doing some playtesting. People are responding well to the new levels so far, although we may have made some of them a bit too hard.

The good news is: we now have a playable demo which we'll be showing soon at [Register or Login to view links] and [Register or Login to view links]. If you'll be at either of those events, please stop by and check it out!

For those of you who don't really know what N++ is, today we're going to delve further into one simple question: "What is N++?"

I guess a fair few of you will have seen the awesome Intro Cinematic trailer for DC Universe Online.

Video: Brutal Legend Intro & Pre-order Bonus, Hits PSN This Week

263w ago - According to JoyStiq, Best Buy's bonus for pre-ordering Brütal Legend by October 13th includes a Brütal Legend LP sleeve (pictured below).

Aside from displaying artwork, the sleeve serves as a holder for the game disc itself.

In related news, EA's Tim Schaffer has announced that a Brutal Legend demo will be hitting PlayStation Network (and Xbox Live Marketplace) this week- specifically on Septmeber 17, 2009.

Finally, Electronic Arts has released an opening cinematic intro video today. The opening cinematic sets up the story for the game and gives us some insight into story protagonist, Eddie Riggs (voiced by Jack Black). Check it out below!

Brutal Legend is due out in North America on October 13th for the Xbox 360 and PS3.




 

Video: New Simpsons Intro Features HDTV and Nintendo DS

293w ago - Over the weekend the Simpsons first HDTV introduction aired and featured the Nintendo DS.

In the new introduction, two of Lisa's classmates are playing on their Nintendo DS consoles while the Simpson family seems to have a new LCD TV. Elsewhere, Bart is now praising HDTV on the school blackboard... check it out below for those who missed it.
