Let’s face it. The number one reason you turn on your XBox 360 is for the games, and the team creating the New XBox Experience certainly didn’t forget about that. This week we wanted to share with you what the Game Store will look like later this fall when the New XBox Experience launches.

Today, when you look at a particular game in the Game Store you get a pretty basic list of information: name of the game or piece of content, ESRB rating, price and a short explanation of what it is. That information is really useful, but with the New XBox Experience we thought we could give you even more.

When you go into the new Games Store this fall, you will be able to check out screenshots of the game, watch trailers and read the back-of-the-box description like you are shopping at a retail store. The Game Store will also display every available download for the game you are looking for.

Let’s say you are looking at “Gears of War 2,” you will ha... More »

Demon's Souls is one of the games for the PS3 that have been unveiled as playable at Tokyo Game Show.

Demon's Souls will be released some time in 2009 and it is a spiritual successor to King's Field, a PS1 title that was never officially released in the US.

The game takes place in the kingdom of Boletaria, where you play an unnamed protagonist who roams around in an "extremely open-ended" world -- you can choose to save the world from the king who will awaken "an ancient monster" in his sleep, or not. It's all up to you.

The game's director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, is attempting to "make the fun and charms of a classic RPG interesting all over again with the latest technology at hand." For example, instead of placing traditional restrictions on item usage, it uses the game's physics to place more realistic limits such as "long weapons bump into walls, lighting the area in real-time with the torch in your hand."

Sadly, the directo... More »

When you go to the multiplayer screen where it would say PSN/Xbox live, Split Screen, System link, Options, Single player and then at the bottom "Game experience may change during online play."

Above that sentence there is a what looks like another sentence that has been rubbed out or something.

A few people who I have shown it to have had the game since day 1, but never noticed it was there.

Here is a picture of the menu for the PC its not very clear, but you get the idea.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Pete Smith, Sony Producer for LittleBigPlanet, was recently asked about the potential for a LittleBigPlanet spin-off on the PSP.

Smith refused to comment on the issue though. Earlier this year, Future Publishing rumored that LittleBigPlanet was in development for PSP at Sony Studio Liverpool, and that the game would apparently link up with the PS3 version of the game.

To quote: For all their transparency, the Media Molecule guys are still keeping some plans to themselves. One of them is any potential spin-off on the PSP, something on which Smith refused to comment. Then there are the company's thoughts on just how well LittleBigPlanet is going to do.

Will it meet the rising expectations being build up by incessant media coverage? "We know it's going to have a long tail," is all Smith would say. "With this game it's been really quite tricky to say who's the target audience because it's so broad."

In the picture below, the revised screen is the one on the right side... which has a slightly larger width of 3.25 inches, in comparison to just 3 inches for the one on the left.

According to their watermarks, the origin of these 'spotted' photos is another Chinese Web site, namely TGBus.com.
