Video: Hyperdevotion Noire Battle System Detailed for PS Vita

50°
2d ago - Idea Factory International's David Alonzo shared details today alongside a video on the Hyperdevotion Noire Battle System for PS Vita below.

To quote: Greetings, ladies and gentlemen! My name is David, here for Idea Factory International, and I'm happy to give you a glimpse of the battle system for the upcoming strategy RPG Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart, which is launching early 2015 exclusively on PS Vita.

This spinoff of the Hyperdimension Neptunia world introduces a new way for everyone's favorite Goddesses to fight, and they've brought a whole army of friends to help them!

Taking place in the new world of Gamarket, you'll see that the Goddesses get the chibi treatment, but just because they're smaller doesn't mean they can't do huge amounts of damage!

Because if there's one thing these characters do better than breaking the fourth wall, it's battle. And for the first time ever in the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, your battleground is a 3D strategy grid.

Your Goddesses will bring their crazy skills to the world of strategy, and lay the smackdown in a whole new way, but you can't just run up to your enemy and hit 'em or else you'd be taking the "strategy" out of "strategy...

MoneyPaw Games: Retro Import Hyper Crazy Climber Out Next Week

50°
36w ago - MoneyPaw Games PR Manager Ryan Olsen announced today that retro import Hyper Crazy Climber is out on PSN next week with details below.

To quote: MonkeyPaw Games has another import retro title ready. You better have a good grip because you'll be climbing your way to the stratosphere. Our newest game is Hyper Crazy Climber, a series that has roots all the way back to the start of arcades.

Hyper Crazy Climber is a sequel to Crazy Climber. As you likely guessed, with Hyper Crazy Climber the challenges are more hyper, crazier, and climb...ier.

The goal for each level is to start at the bottom of a tower and navigate the level while avoiding obstacles to reach the top. It might not sound too difficult, but that isn't the case at all.

The controls were designed to be difficult to master, and you'll need to operate the left and right side of your character independently to reach the summits.

It'll take expert hand-eye coordination to gracefully climb your way to the peak of beanstalks, clock towers, and other tall structures.

Hyper Crazy Climber originally launched in Japan in 1996 for the PSone. It's a continuation of the arcade games, and the first time a new entry in the Crazy Climber series found a home on consoles.

Here are some gaming...

40w ago - Head of Heart Machine Alex Preston shared a video on creating the world of Hyper Light Drifter on PS4 and PS Vita below.

To quote: In [Register or Login to view links] you'll travel a ruined land with a twisted past, delving deep to collect lost technologies and unveil secrets long buried.

I'd like to share a few of the key components under development that make Hyper Light what it is: 1) combat that's lightning quick, brutal and never unfair; 2) a strong narrative and character interactions expressed through visual design; 3) a rich and varied world to explore with an intense atmosphere.

Combat

At [Register or Login to view links] we're all fans of fast, heavy-hitting combat that requires skill and rewards a bit of finesse. To hell with bulletsponges, witless drones and unfair scenarios.

We spend a great deal of time tuning our systems, adding meaningful feedback in the controls, visuals, and audio design so they feel responsive and satisfying each time you lop an enemy in half, blow something up, or wipe out entire packs of ravenous creatures.

Each enemy reacts to strikes with visible knockback, flashes, and brutal sound effects. No weak or shoddy weapons (I'm looking...
