20w ago - Sony Producer Jun Yoshino confirmed today alongside a video that Video: Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational is coming to PS3.
To quote: We're excited to announce that the latest installment in the Hot Shots Golf franchise (which has just celebrated its 15th year anniversary) will be winging its way onto PS3 via PSN on July 23rd for $19.99.
The PS3 version offers everybody's favorite local multiplayer that supports up to four players, as well as new features such as Real Feel Shot where you can swing your way through courses with your PlayStation Move motion controller.
What's more, for those of you that own the PS Vita version, all of your downloadable content is cross-buy and will be unlocked in the PS3 version! The Vita patch version 1.06 will bring you up to speed with the PS3, enabling you to play with those on the PS3 version in the online tournaments.
What we think is one of the most exciting features is both PS Vita and PS3 can compete against each other online. And with such a vast array of online tournaments available, you'll never be short of brand new online rivalries! Take advantage of the Level 4 and Level 5 clubs and balls to get the edge over your buddies!

Below are the details, to quote: If you haven't played Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational in a while, now is the time! As some of you may already know, we recently released a feature update (patch 1.05). This long awaited update adds the following features:
Turn Based Challenge
Too busy to join a tournament online at a given time/date? Not to worry! By introducing this "Turn Based Challenge" mode, you can now challenge your friends in an asynchronous competition and play head to head, hole by hole.
Players can now also set up 20 different parallel games at any given time. To avoid cheating, there are no re-dos, similar to Daily Tourneys. Short messages (like SMS) are also now enabled, as well as competitive score history between friends.
Additional gameplay updates include:
• Four-player stroke mode enabled in the multiplayer rooms.
• A slot mode added to the online/adhoc, enabling a slot machine style handicap system applied per hole to keep the game interesting in case there is an imbalance between player skills.

131w ago - Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has shared a PS Vita preview and details today on Hot Shots Golf (working title).
To quote: When I first laid eyes on the PS Vita in January, I was floored by UNCHARTED (now officially dubbed UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss), eager to try Super Stardust Delta with dual analog sticks, and mesmerized by the use of AR in Reality Fighters.
But I knew that the game I'd be coming back to on flight after flight, year after year, would be Hot Shots Golf.
I've easily sunk hundreds of hours into the Hot Shots Golf series dating back to the PS2 days, with the majority of that time on the PSP's Open Tee line. Based on what I've played of Hot Shots Golf, the hours will keep piling up on PS Vita.
The first thing I noticed was how the game's cheerfully colorful visuals benefit from the PS Vita's stunning OLED display. Don't compare it to the PSP's Open Tee series; Hot Shots Golf's visuals on the PS Vita are even more polished than those of PS3's Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds. Gorgeous character lighting, dazzling water effects, fluttering birds, swirling leaves – this is as pretty a day on the links are you're likely to see.
