Download: PSP CWCheat v0.1.9

- [ALL] now the text reader supports up to 128 text files per id: Press L/R to go to the previous/next text file. The name is similar to how the cheat.db name works: The first file is named with just the id.txt (just like now), all the others are the id + the number + .txt

eg: with SLUS_12345 as id. The first file is SLUS_12345.txt the next SLUS_123451.txt,SLUS_123452.txt~SLUS_12345127.txt

- [GAME] Improved disc id detection runtimes and by putting a new check for the mount status of isofs. This improved cwcheat startup speed (were applyable) and compatibility. This should also reduce the risk of the cheat list being corrupted.

- [ALL] Added detection of vsh mode. So now vsh has it's own id different from the one for homebrews. Cheat... More »

  • To quote: "What’s that? The new firmware on the PSP Slim and Lite has been dumped in less than 24 hours, by none other than Dark_AleX.

How was this done? That’ll remain a secret, but considering there is no firmware 3.60 EBOOT even available, you can draw the line from there.

Alex has no intention of releasing details on how to dump the firmware at this point, due to the fact he is retired from the scene after all, but at the very least it will offer inspiration to other homebrew teams such as M33 and Wildc*rd."

SCEA has stated on the Official Playstation boards that discussion of PSP homebrew and hacking is BANNED. SCEA state that homebrew applications void the warranty of the PSP and an official area to discuss such features can not be provided. The following topics are banned - custom firmware themes, applications, custom animation/sounds and other materials made available only through the use of homebrew applications. Basically EVERYTHING related to PSP homebrew/hacking is banned, anyone that ignores their policy will be banned and considered for other 'disciplinary actions' as determined by their admins. The official Playstation boards were FULL of homebrew discussion incase you didn't know!

To quote: "Homebrew applications void the warranty of the PSP®(PlayStation®Portable) system, and an official area to discuss such activities cannot be provided by SCEA. Any postings that are clearly homebrew-related, such as those providing instructions on downgrading firmware updates,... More »

To quote from Fanjita: "At last! We promised a solution to help people trapped on firmware v3.11 by Sony's dirty tricks, and here it is.

Download: HEN and idstorage fix for 3.11

As you may know, if you have a TA-082/TA-086 motherboard, then if you downgraded your PSP to v1.50, its idstorage keys will have been patched during downgrading to avoid bricking. The latest official Sony firmwares (3.30 onwards) detect this patch, and refuse to allow you to upgrade. Without a hardware solution, this can leave you trapped on v3.11 firmware, with no way to upgrade, and no way to downgrade.

This release consists of HEN for v3.11, plus a v3.11 downgrader, and an idstorage key fixer for v3.11. This allows you the choice of either

  • From the ReadMe: We are proud to present the first custom firmware for the PSP Slim, and the first custom firmware that runs using a 3.XX IPL (3.60)

    Download: PSP 3.60 M33 [Archive Pass: _I_LOVE_M33_Slim_Conquered]

3.60 M33 for PSP Slim has all the features of 3.52 M33, except the 1.50 kernel support, as that kernel doesn't work properly on psp slim (hardware problems, screen problems). 3.60 M33 will load homebrew from GAME, GAME150 and GAME360 directories, but all will be executed with 3.60 kernel.

This mean that some homebrews done specifically for the 1.50 kernel cannot work on 3.60 M33. However, the adaptation of code to 2.XX+ kernels is not difficult, and homebrew developers can port their applications to work in these firmwares.

Included with the release is the M33 sdk for programmers.

Installation: The installation is done using pandora battery and requi... More »

Hermes, the Spanish homebrew creator behind the likes of PS2Reality Mediaplayer and Guitarfun for the PS2 has released a new loader for PS3 that will allow you to load PS2 homebrew. There are certain tools needed such as firmware greater than v1.90, Swap Magic and some BIOS files. However, for the moment it seems to execute only Guitarfan and Mediplayer PS2 homebrew, but it's good start all the same.

    Download: PSXLoader
