87w ago - HandCircus founder Simon Oliver has shared a video today containing the Okabu soundtrack, and announced that the game is floating to PSN tomorrow!
To quote: Since we started development, a lot of people have commented on how much they love the music of Okabu, created by our very talented partners at Resonate.
Liam and the Resonate team have blown us away with what they've managed to create, and they've made a behind-the-scenes video to give you a bit of background. I'll let Music Director Liam Paton explain in his own words!
With the release of Okabu almost upon us, we wanted to share a short film that documents our last 12 months working on the soundtrack to the game. It has been such a great project to work on and hopefully the footage captures the fun that we had along the way.
Meeting and working with an amazingly talented group of musicians, learning to play the Kalimba properly and working out how to record six-feet wide Marimbas have been just some of the highlights of the year. It feels like a long time ago since Simon first showed us that early build of Okabu last October and it's really exciting to know that people will soon be playing the results...
234w ago - Today Public Relations Manager Alex Armour announced the following news:
MLB 09 The Show is officially announced today, ready to arrive this coming Spring on the PS3, PSP, and PS2. As the market leader in the baseball category, the team did not want to rest on their laurels and churn out a lackluster effort.
For this year, the team is including a number of new features and visual detail to once again bring the best and most realistic sports gaming experience available.
Last year we allowed players to import their own music from the PS3 hard drive so they could listen in game. Now, the team has gone a step further by creating the "My MLB Music" feature. This will allow players to use the in-game music editor to create snipits of music that can be saved and used as customized walk up music for their favorite players.
Additionally, have you ever screamed at your TV at a bad (or good) play when engaged in a sports game? Well now your voice can be heard IN THE GAME by allowing users to record their own fan chants and yells and integrate them seamlessly into the ambient crowd noise. It'll sound like you're really there.
Of course the team is all over the details and as the leading baseball game simulator out there, how could they not? Transitional lighting...
269w ago - European members have recently been venting their frustration at the poor level of service they have been receiving from SCEE and have been asking for a service equal to that provided by SCEA.
The issue has also been brought up by the member on the US Playstation Blog who asked yesterday if the US blog could global.
Jeff Rubenstein, Social Media Manager, replied saying "We know that there are a lot of readers coming here from beyond North America (notably the UK, Oz, Germany, and more). We're in the process of working out how to make sure your needs are addressed. We hear what you're saying."
To quote: Question:
Can you please go global with PlayStation.Blog. The non-existant regional attempts just make it ever more apparent how good you guys are and how you're filling a much needed spot.
Please? For a chocolate heart? Or a bunny? You like bunnies dontcha?
