The NHL 2K series seemed, just a few short years ago, like a dynasty in the making. But after EA's NHL 07 launched the skill stick, 2K's series felt dated. Trying to play catch-up this year NHL 2K8 has completely revamped controls...and they're absolutely confusing. Even after a few games of hands-on time, we were passing when we meant to shoot, deking when we meant to shoot, and on rare occasion shooting when we meant to shoot.

Thankfully not content with a shinier sequel, Criterion is reinventing its fabled racing franchise for this generation of consoles (the Burnout Revenge 360 port was more of a facelift). Gone are the linear tracks and tiered level structure; Burnout Paradise takes place in one enormous city that's open from the start and never stops to load. And lest you fret, the game still blazes by at 60 frames a second, the buttery-smooth visuals complemented by cars that crumple more convincingly than ever. The series is still about viscerally destructive driving, and the audio-visual impact of hitting a wall at 200 m.p.h. is as "next-gen" as anything we've experienced.
Paradise makes the most of its open-world structure, assuring that it's more than just a gimmick or several levels strung together. - PSP Slim: a functionality to let the charge of battery when connecting a usb cable has been added. This feature is based on Noobz plugin code. By default is not enabled, you can enable it in recovery. Note that the charge of battery may be delayed some seconds since the moment you plug the cable.

Created by Yuke's Media Creations, the development house behind the wildly popular and successful SmackDown vs. RAW franchise, Go! Sports Ski is an abomination of a game. Its controls are terrible, the feature set is extremely bare-bones (even for a downloadable title) and some of the options and perks are head-scratchingly stupid.
Let's begin with the control issues. Aside from menu navigation, the game uses the Sixaxis motion controls exclusively. Movement, jumping, tricks and everything else are performed by tilting the controller, and there's no way to change this. While turning works decently, to an extent at least (it can be hard to make extreme cuts in the snow), things like tricks and even just using your poles to push yourself can be frustrating, unresponsive and aggravating.

It's not every day that a game developed by a single person with an ambitious design that seeks to merge traditional elements of the music and gaming business into one nontraditional whole sees release on a major console. However, tomorrow happens to be just such a day.
Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced that Jonathan Mak's Everyday Shooter will arrive in tomorrow's PlayStation Network update. Described as "an album of games exploring the expressive power of abstract shooters," the downloadable shoot-'em-up incorporates sound effects from the player moving around and shooting obstacles into the game's guitar-driven soundtrack.
Everyday Shooter caused a stir at the Independent Games Festival in March when it earned awards for Design Innovation, Excellence in Audio, and a GameTap Indie Award. That showing drew the interest of Sony, which picked it up and had it on display at this year's E3 Media and Business Summit in July.
Suffering from its exorbitant price point and a dearth of titles, Sony's PlayStation 3 isn't exactly the most popular gaming platform on the block. But while the console flounders in the commercial space, the PS3 may be finding a new calling in the realm of science and research.

Thanks to the price drop, the 60GB model officially costs the same as the 80GB one. However, retailers aren't going for any of that nonsense and are now packaging the system with many other goodies. Walmart.com, for example, is bundling one free game and a Blu-ray remote with the 60GB system (making it a far better deal than the 80GB, in our opinion). Halo 3 has sold millions of copies and broken records all over the globe. With all these success Microsoft allowed Bungie to go “Freelancer” by selling Bungie Studios back to its shareholders. Since then we have not seen a single improvement to the reliability of matchmaking or their website.
We have listed 10 issues which Bungie needs to address or have completely screwed up with the production of Halo 3. In no way are we anti-halo or anti-Bungie, we gave Halo 3 a 9.7/10 in our review and are just pointing out the obvious flaws in the Halo 3 game.
