PS4 Firmware 2.00 Will Fix Webkit Bug Says PlayStation 4 Hacker Nas

300°
1w ago - Following up on Sony's official announcement and recent hints of PS4 System Software Update 2.00, today PlayStation 4 hacker nas stated the upcoming PS4 Firmware 2.00 Update will fix a potentially useful Webkit bug for developers although it's not related to the recent Nintendo Wii U Browser Exploit.

Below are the details, to quote: PS4 FW 2.00 will fix Webkit Bug

The upcoming firmware update for PS4 will fix a "useful" bug in Sony's browser. Useful as in "useful for people who have some x64 reversing skills".

Muchas gracias to Proxima

Yes, its not related to the bug used to exploit the Wii U.

Finally, from Zecoxao: my best guess will be that everyone will be looking for said bug now, seeing as they can downgrade if they have the dump from previous firmwares.

PS3 SFO Batch Category Patcher By CFWProphet is Released

2w ago - Today PlayStation 3 homebrew developer cfwprophet released what he calls PS3 SFO Batch Category Patcher with details below.

Download: [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links]

To quote: Hello guys

I'll put that tiny app out which is a way over to be but here it is!

What it does?

It Batch Converts the SFO's (or only one) Category of a PKG file. You put a pkg or more into the folders app, run it and choose the new category to patch and click the button. Useful for CFW/MFW with custom categories in the XMB.

In short, it helps you to put your app's/pkg's into a other category then the Game column in XMB.

I need your help to test the app and tell me if all is working like I should. For sure I did a test and patched a pkg and all worked fine but who knows. It could be that the pkg won't install on a higher FW so I need to change the used app for the pkg generation.

Or it could be that we may need a additional wait timer for the background worker... uhm, yea such stuff ^^ Let me know I'm awaiting your suggestion

Yours cfwprophet
