Yep, Guitar Hero 3 is officially on sale and everyone and their tattoed mother's picked up a copy (along with the new axes that accompany it).
Oh sure, GH2 players making the jump to 3 won't feel like any less like any less of a nerd trying to ape the genuinely cool (that is, if you actually still think The Scorpions are cool), but now your guitar is collapsible and, if you're lucky, wireless. Rock on, Bill, Ted. Video below:
Boxart of each game can be seen at the link up top!
Here at Ripten, we’re nothing if not festive. As the weather turns cold and the pumpkins light up, we take a look at some games that are sure to scare the crap out of you this holiday season. Read on… if you dare! Muwahahaha!

#10 - Bioshock
Get out the candy corn and your plasmids, it’s time for some Big Daddy ass-whoopin! Bioshock swept us off our feet this summer with stunning visuals and a unique blend of gameplay and narrative.
2k Games received overwhelming praise from gamers and critics alike. However, it was never acclaimed as a horror game, even though the narrow corridors of Rapture held more than one claustrophobic, bloody fright.
LG has officially today announced the release of the first Blu-Ray/HD DVD Super-multi DVD burner capable of writing at 6x on Blu-Ray media.

The PSP is becoming one of the hottest gifts this holiday season. And for good reason too. The slimmer, lighter and generally more awesome PSP-2000 system has reignited sales of Sony's portable, and supposedly they're becoming quite hard to find in stores. In fact, PSP systems are currently outselling DS systems on amazon.com. Various CAG members report:
"They are impossible to find in most stores, at least in my area." - SaraAB
"It is true about PSP selling surpringly well. I suggested either PSP core or Daxter bundle as a gift for me, and in the past couple weeks it had been generally hard to find or very quickly selling when available." - H22A
"The PSP has been OOS for a long time (Core & Daxter) both B&M & Online. I've been trying to get one for weeks (and a decent deal) and TRU, Target, BB, CC, Amazon, Walmart, Gamestop, Barnes & Noble have all been OOS and then got restocked but sold out very quickly." - J7.
It's June 6th, 1944, and the war is in your hands. Step into the boots of OSS Operative John Berg and infiltrate Normandy from behind enemy lines to undermine the Nazi regime. Choose to tackle all-new missions in traditional single player campaign or engage in massive, 32-player online, continuous-joining multiplayer battles where you can jump into the battle at any time.
You just can't escape WWII games. PCs, consoles and now Sony's PSP have been added to the genre's beachheads; Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 brings Hollywood-flavored action adventure to the small screen. Getting used to an FPS on the PSP for the first time will probably be the least of your worries with this title, especially if you find yourself online.
EA's Medal of Honor series has had its ups and downs in the past few years, but it continues to plod on in an eternal rendition of WWII, providing fans with an increasingly imaginative take on history in an effort to keep them from feeling too mu... More »

The UK's first "fibre town" could go online in the autumn, delivering speeds of about 100Mbps (megabits per second) to consumers' homes.
Fibre firm H20 provides super-fast broadband via the sewers and either Bournemouth, Northampton or Dundee will be offered the service first.
It will compete with more established companies, such as Virgin Media, which is speeding up its cable network.
It follows government concerns that the UK is not embracing next-gen broadband.
Transforming services?
While other countries' plans for next generation broadband - offering speeds of up to 100Mbps - are well advanced, the UK has slipped down the speed league tables.
For consumers, super-fast net connections could create a range of new applications including on-demand high definition (HD) TV, DVD quality film downloads in minutes, online video messaging, CCTV home surveillance and HD gaming services.
Rumours were circulating today (Monday, 18/02/2008) that Microsoft is set to dump HD DVD and bring out a Blu-ray Xbox 360 by as early as May 2008.
The move will allow Microsoft to go head-to-head with the Sony PS3 gaming console which has been credited with being one of the main reasons that retailers have preferred Blu-ray over Toshiba’s HD DVD.
David Richards reports that insiders at Microsoft in the USA has told SmartHouse that Microsoft have already configured a standalone Blu-ray player that can be connected into an Xbox 360, which could be on sale within three months.
