Video: GT5 PS3 Demo at Nurburgring Nails Sense of Speed

300°
224w ago - At the Nürburgring 24-hour circuit a lucky gamer named Michi takes a Lexus out for a spin in the GT5 PS3 demo, and MrTUX82 has uploaded it to YouTube demonstrating Gran Turismo 5's sense of speed.

To quote: "Using the game's new professional driving physics, the gamer does a bloody good job at posting a respectable time at extreme speeds.

Now, we're not sure if it's just the quality of the driver, or the choice of camera, but the sense of speed in the following video is palpable.

Let us know whether you agree in the comments section. We'll hear more about Gran Turismo 5, which is expected to release later this year, at next months E3."

Circuit: Nordschleife 24h-circuit with GP connection
Car: racing Lexus - forgot the name sorry
Time: 8'31.144
Settings: professional driving physics without driving aids
Wheel: Driving Force GT

Rumor: New Gran Turismo 5 PS3 Demo Incoming on PSN?

200°
232w ago - According to [Register or Login to view links] user lherre, a new Gran Turismo 5 PS3 demo is rumored to be on PSN, but unfortunately for GT5 fans it's not currently available to the public audience.

To quote: "This member has impeccable credibility and this demo is definitely available on PSN, though it may only be available for a select group of people at the current time.

lherre later states that this demo may be used for media events only, but that is speculation on his part, as of now.

With this demo uploaded on PSN, could we be seeing a new GT5 demo in the relative future? Let's hope so since we haven't had a new demo since last Fall when we had the Time Trial demo, which gave us small tidbit of what to expect in the full release."

Finally, a release date for the title is slated as 2010, so the wait for a full release is still unknown.

Video: Gran Turismo 5 PS3 Time Trial Demo Physics Glitch

350°
244w ago - Grave from GameTrailers has shared a GT5 video highlighting a humorous physics glitch in the recently released Gran Turismo 5 PS3 Time Trial Demo.

Of course this isn't the finalized GT5 PlayStation 3 game, so there are indeed bound to be glitches in a Time Trial demo.

To quote: "Definitely looks like an unintended physics glitch to me. Those little markers are obviously not bolted to the ground, since the first one moved, yet the second one ramped an entire car without even touching a wheel.

I started hitting those distance markers and I noticed.. the collision detection on those are not only completely off, but extremely exaggerated. If you tap one, the go about 20 meters and I would see the car make a little hop.

I'm sure there's plenty of touching up to do with the engine still."
