Sony Announces Dragon Age: Inquisition is Great for Newcomers

2w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements announced today that Dragon Age: Inquisition is great for newcomers to PS4 and PS3.

To quote: [Register or Login to view links], the latest chapter in BioWare's sweeping fantasy saga, wastes no time beginning its urgent, world-splitting story.

Truth be told, the developers have sewn a great amount of detail onto the main menu alone. Starting a new game catapults the idyllic scene of a snowy peace summit into utter devastation. And that's just the menu.

For those who have followed previous chapters of Dragon Age, the story is dense and rich with lore. But when a seething, green portal opens in our world and welcomes in legions of demons, players have a straightforward cause to rally behind.

In Dragon Age: Inquisition, players follow the story of a survivor that emerges from this demonic blast (almost) unscathed. The site of the explosion had been host to a peace summit organized by Divine Justinia, who sought an end to the strife between mages and Templars. With those plans wholly awry, the main character – the Inquisitor – is tasked with upholding Justinia's legacy and hunting down the demonic agents haunting the realm.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War is Out Today on PS4 and PS3

21w ago - Game and Level Designer Simon Chocquet-Bottani announced that Valiant Hearts: The Great War is out today on PS4 and PS3 platforms with details below.

To quote: Hello, my name is Simon Chocquet-Bottani, Game and Level Designer on Valiant Hearts: The Great War for PS4 and PS3, out today. When we started making Valiant Hearts, we immediately knew what sort of feelings we wanted the game to evoke.

That has been our guiding principle throughout the game development process. We tried to make a game that will captivate you and take you on an emotional journey. We also wanted to make sure we stayed true to history, so we built the basis of our story around real events and real places.

As we were moving through and creating prototypes, we recognized many aspects of the war we wanted to talk about. This brought us to the idea of creating not one, but four main characters, each of them with their own experiences and interpretations of the war.

By switching between the four characters, we're able to tell a story with several cliffhangers, as well as lighten the moments between happiness and sadness as needed. The art style fit this concept perfectly because it allowed us to take people on an emotional adventure where they could be laughing or crying at any period of time.

InFamous Second Son PS4 Hands-on: Great Power, Great Responsibility

50°
40w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements shared hands-on details today on InFamous Second Son on PS4 who states with great power comes great responsibility.

To quote: Delsin Rowe strolls down a shadowy length of docks with ample confidence. Caches of illegal drugs have been hidden among the houseboats moored there, which is a disagreeable notion to our super-powered, rough-around-the-edges hero.

But with eye-searing neon and seething smoke at his disposal, Delsin has little to fear from the drug peddlers peppering him with gunfire. Bullets ricochet off the flashing neon light around his head as he flinches - they're more an annoyance than a danger. As he leaps into the air to greet his enemies, powers flaring to life, he can destroy them or subdue them. And that's up to the player.

Choice has always played a vital role in the inFAMOUS series, and inFAMOUS Second Son is no exception. Amidst all the open-world action that developer Sucker Punch has set in its own Seattle, Delsin can enter combat as a careful hero or a ruthless force. These methods of play not only affect how each battle scene is approached, but how Delsin's powers manifest themselves.

Smoke and neon, the two powers Sucker Punch has revealed so far, can cater to either play style. Players unconcerned with...

49w ago - Project Lead Sanabu Washizuka announced that Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God is out today on PS Vita.

To quote: What a delectably delicious day it is! The roguelike RPG Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God launches today. Sorcery Saga is exclusive to PS Vita and is available at both retail and on PlayStation Store.

Like the name suggests, it's wacky, fun, and a real challenge. Today, we wanted to give all you folks an overview of the game.

So what is Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God all about?

Sorcery Saga tells the story of Pupuru and her brave quest to save her favorite curry restaurant from the big, bad curry chain that's just moved into town. Harmless, right? Wrong! In order to do so, Pupuru and her grumpy (and always hungry) creature friend, Kuu, must travel to find ingredients to make the legendary curry.

Along the way, Pupuru meets many interesting and strange people, including the rather forward Gigadis and the mysterious, non-committal Puni.

How Does This Thing Play?

As Pupuru, you'll enter a dungeon and travel on a grid-like system. Attacks are turn-based, but what makes Sorcery Saga truly challenging is its roguelike quality. Meaning, if you fall in a dungeon, you lose all your items...

Once players encounter an enemy, they'll be able to attack or use items or skills to fend off the onslaught of creatures. Let's delve deeper into Sorcery Saga's gameplay and see what this game is all about!
