250°
266w ago - Today some scans of the latest Game Informer Magazine have hit the Internet, and they cover id Software and EA's upcoming PS3 title Rage.

Rage is a first-person shooter and racing video game in development by id Software. It will use the company's new id Tech 5 engine.

Reports currently indicate that the game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world similar to that of movies such as Mad Max 2.

Rage is also slated for a 2010 release on Linux, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Xbox 360 along with the PlayStation 3 console.

A few scans are below, with the rest linked above courtesy of KareBear from 3DRealms. Cheers!

Assassin's Creed 2 - First Scans from Game Informer Magazine

400°
280w ago - Here are some Assassin's Creed 2 scans from Game Informer Magazine, courtesy of MondoXbox.com (linked above).

To quote, roughly translated: We propose today the first images of the game taken from the pages of the magazine.

The images were taken by screwattack site and then assembled into a movie in low definition, with a label transparent in sovrimpressione.

The final result is therefore not the best, but given that so far has not seen anything in the game, can be used to get an idea waiting to scan in the best quality images available from the official Ubisoft.

Note, the pictures, even one that shows Ezio planar with the famous flying machine designed by Leonardo da Vinci.

Game Informer Article Confirms M.A.G. as FPS Only PS3 Title

200°
280w ago - According to Extric from the official PlayStation boards (linked above) M.A.G. is confirmed as a FPS only PS3 title.

A scan of the article detailing this from Game Informer magazine is available below, and to quote:

Okay, I just got done reading the MAG article in the latest Game Informer and here is the information on the games camera view:

The biggest change SOCOM fans will notice in MAG is the gameplay perspective; Zipper abandoned the third-person perspective in favor of a first-person experience.

"We looked at the number of different camera options for the game, and settled on FPS primarily because of the scale of MAG," Bodewin remarks. "Some of our previous games were third-person, and it was well suited to [managing] teammates and AI quadrates as well.

But for a game of this size we really wanted to make it the most immersive and the most intense large-scale game that we could. There's really no better way to do that than to sink you right into the action and look at things through a first-person perspective."

Here is a picture of the paragraph where I got the information from. Best one I could get because the flash kept getting in the way...

God Of War 3 PS3 Feature in Next Game Informer Magazine Issue

50°
289w ago - If you have some extra money left in your gaming budget, you might want to consider buying a copy of the next issue of Game Informer. It takes an in-depth look into one of the most anticipated PS3 titles so far: God of War 3.

The mag's March issue will include exclusive info, art, and screenshots of the final installment of the brutal series. There's also some features on games like Resident Evil 5, BrĂ¼tal Legend, and GTA 4: The Lost and Damned.

Aside from the meaty stuff found in its pages, the mag's also got a sweet cover showing Kratos being his usual bad-ass self.

Check out how he grabs onto the cyclops' eyelid in the cover shot to the right. Man, that's gotta hurt.
