Lately, we've been doing a ton of playtesting of Road Not Taken, particularly with fellow game developers. (If you're ever looking for brutally honest feedback, other game developers are a good place to start.)

In general, the feedback has been pretty positive: people love the game's basic mechanics, art and audio. But one big issue repeatedly crept up in many of our playtests: people weren't sensing the depth of the game and weren't feeling a strong sense of progression. This post is all about how we've been fixing that.

I like to think of Road Not Taken as an iceberg floating in the ocean: a tiny percentage of the total game is visible above the surface when you first start playing, while the vast majority of the game lies unseen, waiting to be discovered.

We made Joe Danger, the super-colorful, super-challenging racey platformy series starring a fat little stuntman! People have seemed to like it loads, calling it all kinds of nice things like "astounding" (Official PlayStation Magazine) and "perfect" (Game Informer).

So, you might remember that we're bringing Joe Danger to PS Vita, and I'm here to tell you that we're nearly finished! Also, I wanted to tell you some super special news.

So first up, both of our big-console games, Joe Danger and its sequel, Joe Danger 2: The Movie, are running on PS Vita at a smooth-as-butter 60 frames a second, looking clean as you like, and they play so, so nicely in your hands.

60FPS has always been so important to us, because that's how the games we grew up with ran. So it's fantastic that Vita can make it happen, especially since it totally looks just as good as the PS3 version. We're pushing about 400k polys a frame, which is pretty amazing. It loads real fast too.

Over 120 new cars have been added to GT6 - taking the already comprehensive total car tally to an unprecedented 1200+ vehicles.

Sony Announces PlayStation Mobile in Full Force at E3 This Year

43w ago - Sony Director of Emerging Platforms Chris Mahoney announced that PlayStation Mobile was in full force at E3 this year.

To quote: This year we had some fun and exciting PlayStation Mobile games at our E3 booth in Los Angeles, as well as in the virtual booth within PlayStation Home on your PlayStation 3.

Also, we have been listening to our PlayStation Mobile community and we are pleased to say that your DualShock 3 can now be used to play some of your favorite PlayStation Mobile games on select PlayStation Certified devices.

In fact, Haunt the House: Terrortown and Switch Galaxy were both playable with a DualShock 3 in our booth at E3. We are updating our device list with a small controller icon to show you which devices are compatible with the DualShock 3.

The PlayStation Mobile games at E3 this year were some of our best and most recent titles. If you want to download any of the eight games that are available now, you can easily find them in the PlayStation Mobile section of PlayStation Store on PlayStation Vita.
