Today, I'm extremely excited to share the final, full-length version of our "From Ashes" live action trailer for God of War: Ascension, featuring a special arrangement of Ellie Goulding's "Hanging On."

This is just about the biggest production we've ever undertaken for a God of War commercial or trailer -- or for any PS3 game for that matter. We are very proud of how it turned out, and we hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.





Everyone knows Kratos has anger management issues; he will stop at nothing to get revenge on Ares and all of the gods that have betrayed him. In God of War 1-3, **SPOILER ALERT** we got to experience Kratos' quest for vengeance as he took down Ares, and literally climbed his way to the top of Olympus to defeat Zeus himself.

100w ago - Guerrilla Games Producer Aryeh Loeb is here with some fresh video footage today and details on the Killzone 3 PS3 'From the Ashes' Pack dubbed The Retro Maps.

To quote: Last week we posted preview videos of the first two maps from "From The Ashes", the third DLC pack for Killzone 3. Today we're offering preview videos of the other two maps included with the pack: Tharsis Depot and Radec Academy. If these names sound familiar, it's because they're re-imagined and revamped versions of the beloved Killzone 2 maps.

The first preview video features Tharsis Depot, a Guerrilla Warfare map for 16 players based on the Killzone 2 classic. After incurring damage during the ISA invasion of Helghan, the depot has been converted to process nuclear Petrusite.

The Helghast made extensive use of jetpacks to facilitate the reconstruction process, but the harsh conditions resulting from the damage still made it a grueling endeavor. The ISA have locked their sights on Tharsis Depot now that it's back in full-scale production, and this time they intend to finish the job they started.

Consisting of two Guerrilla Warfare maps and two Warzone maps, From The Ashes will reinvigorate your Killzone 3 online experience with environments both fresh and familiar.

First up is a preview video of Lente Missile Base, a Warzone map for 24 players set inside an abandoned missile base at the edge of the Kaznan Jungle. One of many outdated defense facilities abandoned after the discovery of nuclear Petrusite, Lente Base is slowly being reclaimed by Helghan's strange plant life.

But when warring ISA and Helghast forces stumble across the remains of the facility, they find that most of its systems are still operational. As both factions vie for control of the base, the facility begins firing its missiles - frying anyone caught in the underground exhaust vents...





The second preview video features Mobile Factory, a Guerrilla Warfare map for 16 players set aboard one of the largest vehicles from the single player campaign. Part resource...

162w ago - Epic's Cliff Bleszinski debuted the first cinematic trailer for Gears of War 3: Ashes to Ashes for the XBox 360 on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

The title is tentatively slated to arrive on consoles around April 8, 2011.

To quote: "Gears 3 is packing all sorts of new hotness, including those recently leaked tentacle-having, mutating Lambent Locusts, (you might remember the ending of Gears 2, and a certain Brumak...).

In the new game there's an even greater threat called The Lambent, and it's these kind of crazy tenticle monsters that can mutate while you're fighting them.

Double barrelled shotguns, a beard-wearing (apparently) Dom Santiago, female COG soldiers... it's looking a treat. Such a dreary, ash-filled world Sera has become. We should get a even better look at the game during E3 in June."

243w ago - This generation of consoles has barely got going, with the price war not really having even begun, and no sign of a winner yet being called (although the Wii is clearly the frontrunner). But, the next generation of consoles could be on their way sooner than we all think. The only question remains: who will actually be involved?

Actually I lied, the other question is when will the next-gen consoles actually arrive on the scene. We've spoken about this before, with 2010 being the earliest date mentioned in terms of when a new console could emerge from one of the big three, More likely given the state of the industry (healthy console sales but all three platforms still viable) is 2011 or 2012.

Nintendo is guaranteed to be in there. The Wii and DS have made the company so much money that it is likely to want to throw money at a new development in an effort to repeat the phenomenal success of this generation's offerings.

Whether the Wii 2 is just a souped up version of the Wii or another evolution in game controls remains to be seen. However Nintendo decide to play it, I think the successor to the Wii will be the first out of the door.

Sony too is very likely to be involved. Sure, the Playstation 3 has cost the company a shed load of money to come to market, and it'll take years...
