8w ago - Today a screenshot has surfaced showing the Friends List crossover from PS3 to PS4, which depicts a user playing Killzone: Shadow Fall on PlayStation 4, seen on friends list on the PlayStation 3.
To quote: "Someone recently leaked a screenshot showing what is the first ever PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 crossover.
As you can see in the above image, this is the first case of a PS4/PS3 crossover. If you do not understand what's going on in the picture allow me to explain. If you have a PlayStation Vita, then you know that you can see what everyone on your friends list is playing. The only difference is that PS3 users can't see what PlayStation Vita users are playing... yet.
This looks to NOT be the case with the PlayStation 4, because as you can clearly see, this XMB shot was taken from a PS3. It's only a matter of time until the PS4 arrives and this screenshot is only building my anticiption more and more."
21w ago - Gaijin Games Associate Producer Dant Rambo shared a Runner2 PSN video today dubbed Who Says You Can't Buy Friends with details below, as follows:
After the launch of Bit.Trip Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, many of our fans asked us if we had any sort of plans for DLC. As you can imagine, we were thrilled to see that people wanted the game's experience to extend beyond when the final credits rolled. Quite honestly, it's one of the best compliments a developer can receive.
While brainstorming possible ideas for extra content, we came up with the idea of releasing a pack of characters plucked from other video games. It was a neat enough concept, but the success of it depended upon the awesomeness of the characters we ended up including in the bundle.
This required a lot of brainstorming on our end – including some crazy ideas we had that didn't quite work out – but in the end we feel as though we assembled the most amazing crew of characters to ever grace a single video game. We might be biased in our saying so, however.
In any case, the DLC in question is known as the Good Friends Character Pack, and it introduces Raz (Psychonauts), Quote (Cave Story), Josef (Machinarium), Dr. Fetus (Super Meat Boy), Spelunky Guy (Spelunky), and Invisible CommanderVideo...
91w ago - Today Lead Designer Josh Glavine has shared 5 reasons Shoot Many Robots is better with friends via Sony's PlayStation Blog.
To quote: Available tomorrow on PSN, Shoot Many Robots is an action game with a twist:
You can play with up to four people cooperatively online. If you don't already have an excuse to make three friends and kill some robots, we've provided five:
It's a simple formula. As you add more players to Shoot Many Robots, you'll encounter more robots, more explosions, and more chaos. Playing with co-op partners increases the number of robots in each level which means more things to kill... and more ways to kill them.
And more dead robots means more Nut pickups, which enable you to buy new guns and gear. All of the randomly dropping items like powerups and loot also drop more frequently. In co-op, everything is just more fun.
At the end of each mission, the players with the highest kill counts are rewarded with more Nuts. This means you must work cooperatively to complete a mission, while also competing for the most kills - hence, "co-opetition."
In co-op, you can revive your partners if they are downed. Having squadmates...
183w ago - SCEE's Campaign Producer Jason Steele has unveiled a new Facebook app today dubbed SuperPower Friends from PlayStation PSP Comics!
To quote: If you had the power of X-ray vision what would you look at first?
Welcome to the world of Superpower Friends, the new Facebook application from PlayStation Comics!
Here's how the app works:
The app generates questions about how you would feel or what would happen if your Facebook friends suddenly gained the abilities of some of your favourite comic book characters, from Wolverine and Captain America, to Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse.
The app randomly selects one of your Facebook friends and then generates a question based on a comic character's ability.
The questions will fuel some witty responses, which you can post to their walls... or you can simply move to the next question. You will have the option to change your friend and generate your own customised question, if you wish.
Gain Coins! Every time you answer a question you are rewarded with a coin, which can be used to unlock additional features within the app.
Spending those coins: After gaining ten coins, the app will enable you to unlock a screen which displays...
