33w ago - Browsing various sites, I have come across this awesome new emulator of the PSP system called PPSSPP, a fast and portable PSP emulator with a work-in-progress (WIP) demo video below.

Again this is not for the PSP but it a PSP emulator, now what makes this stand apart, is that it is open source but it is also multi platform, and by multi platform i mean almost anything out there can run from apple devices to android (yes phones can run it as well) to Windows, to Linux.

There is one slight drawback though it is still in early development and only plays a certain amount of games not full fledged (PPSSPP Compatibility List) but homebrew and certain low end graphical games, however, this does show promise. Read more about this in the quote below.

To quote: PPSSPP is an open source project, licensed under the GPL 2.0. Anyone is welcome to contribute their improvements to the code, and the hope is that over time this will resolve the compatibility problem.

68w ago - Following up on their previous announcement of officially supporting PS3 dual-booting, today the E3DIY Team has made available a pin-out schematic and manual for fast dual-booting with their E3 Flasher device with PlayStation 3 CFW (Custom Firmware).

96w ago - Following up on the initial PS3 Slim 3.70 Downgrade and PS3 3.7x Downgrade for Slims and Fats with NOR Flash news, this weekend Italian PlayStation 3 hackers DiGiTaLAnGeL (linked above) have made available a guide to fast swap PS3 Slim CFW 3.55 to OFW 3.70 with 2 HDDs and ProgSkeet followed by a New Method - PS3 Downgrade v2 Supports all NOR Flash from TwoStone.

To quote, roughly translated: Today I'll write a tutorial to "fast-swap" between CFW 3.55 and OFW 3.70, using 2 HDDs... at the end of the tutorial, you'll be able to swap between the firmware just flashing a dump on your PS3 using Progskeet. (instead of downgrading and losing all data).

The first steps are not so easy, so take your time and go on, by the way, you must have some skill with Progskeet, and it must be 100% working...
