10w ago - Ubisoft Senior Community Developer Mike Madavi has proclaimed today that the Rocksmith 2014 Edition is indeed the fastest way to learn guitar.
To quote: Let's face it; it's hard to make something that is truly the best in its respective field - especially so in a world as populated as guitar.
When the Ubisoft team at Studio San Francisco set out to completely revamp Rocksmith, that was our goal - to make Rocksmith the unquestionable fastest and best way to learn to play guitar or bass.
It was, with no exaggeration, a massive undertaking that took years to complete despite the product's core engine already existing from the original iteration.
Now, only a month out from the release of the all-new Rocksmith 2014 Edition, we confidently feel that goal was achieved. It would be easy for us to proudly boast about all the improvements, changes, and innovations that make Rocksmith truly remarkable, but we'd rather let some familiar faces do that for us.
We let credible, established guitar players, teachers, and researchers try out Rocksmith 2014 Edition and give us their feedback.

29w ago - Sony Senior Marketing Specialist James Cullen officially introduced a better, faster PSN video streaming technology service today alongside a request for testers below.
To quote: We've incorporated a new technology that will greatly enhance your viewing experience by providing you a more adaptive, faster stream whenever you rent a movie from the PlayStation Store on PlayStation 3.
But, before we roll out with our entire catalog, we want to test the technology out and get your opinion. For a limited time, we're discounting some HD and SD movie titles. Check them out and let us know what you think.
Here's how to cash in on the deal and help us out along the way:
• Log on to the PlayStation Store on your PS3.
• Scroll down to the Movies section where you will immediately find our beta test in the first section.
• Rent one of the five movies for only $1.99 in HD or 99 cents in SD.
• Fill out the brief survey that will be emailed to you after you purchase and watch the movie.
Tell your friends to try it out too, and keep up-to-date by joining us on Twitter and Facebook.
Again this is not for the PSP but it a PSP emulator, now what makes this stand apart, is that it is open source but it is also multi platform, and by multi platform i mean almost anything out there can run from apple devices to android (yes phones can run it as well) to Windows, to Linux.
There is one slight drawback though it is still in early development and only plays a certain amount of games not full fledged (PPSSPP Compatibility List) but homebrew and certain low end graphical games, however, this does show promise. Read more about this in the quote below.
To quote: PPSSPP is an open source project, licensed under the GPL 2.0. Anyone is welcome to contribute their improvements to the code, and the hope is that over time this will resolve the compatibility problem.
93w ago - Following up on their previous announcement of officially supporting PS3 dual-booting, today the E3DIY Team has made available a pin-out schematic and manual for fast dual-booting with their E3 Flasher device with PlayStation 3 CFW (Custom Firmware).
To quote from their site, roughly translated: 2012-02-26
1: New mainboard Fast dual boot successfully with E3 FLASHER. Click here (e3-tech.net/images/E3%20FLASHER%20PIC/new-mainboard-fast-dual-boo.jpg) to download manual.
2: E3 flasher Fast dual boot and downgrade OFW4.11 to 3.55 successfully, it's same way as downgrade 3.73 to 3.55. We suggest user upgrade to OFW4.11 and then downgrade to 3.55 from now on. And don't forget backup your OFW4.11 bios well.
3: Downgrade to OFW3.41 from CFW3.55CHECKOFF successfully, tested by E3TEAM. Now you can enjoy any 3.55FW by this way (downgrade to OFW3.41 and then upgrade to 3.55, include JB2CFW3.55, OFW3.55...
To quote, roughly translated: Today I'll write a tutorial to "fast-swap" between CFW 3.55 and OFW 3.70, using 2 HDDs... at the end of the tutorial, you'll be able to swap between the firmware just flashing a dump on your PS3 using Progskeet. (instead of downgrading and losing all data).
The first steps are not so easy, so take your time and go on, by the way, you must have some skill with Progskeet, and it must be 100% working...
