208w ago - Today a few scans (below) from the latest Famitsu Magazine have surfaced unveiling news that Dead or Alive: Paradise from Tecmo will be making its way to Sony's PSP console.
However, it's just a port of the game of the same name released for Japanese cell phones in late 2006, one which lets you play mini games with the girls, as you continue to purchase even skimpier outfits for them.
DOA Paradise is scheduled for a Spring 2010 release in Japan and is a single-player only experience.
Those interested can check out the official Japanese Web site for more details.
215w ago - According to the latest Famitsu Magazine, R-Type 3D is coming exclusively to the PS3 console.
It appears that R-Type Final is indeed not the last in the series, according to distantmantra commenting on the latest Famitsu issue at NeoGAF: "There's something about a PS3 exclusive (?) R-Type 3D, and 3D Dot Game Heroes got 8/8/7/7."
For those unaware, R-Type is a side scrolling shoot-em-up arcade game produced by Irem. The player controls a space fighter named "Arrowhead" to defend humanity against a mysterious but powerful alien life-form known as "Bydo", which was later discovered to be not entirely alien in origin.
To quote from Examiner.com (linked above): "It is unknown whether the "3D" in title means that the game will take place in a 3D plane or whether it would be in a 2D plane with 3D graphics (a la R-Type Delta)."

To quote: "The story is similar to that of Gestalt, but the main character will have to save his little sister affected by an incurable illness named "Black Sentence Plague".
As he will progress in his quest he will find out more about the nature of the world and about the reasons why the demons inhabiting it have began to succumb to madness.
Both Nier Gestalt and Nier RepliCant will be released in 2010, developed by studio Cavia (Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles, Bullet Witch, Drakengard, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex...) and both will be officially shown at Tokyo Game show, respectively at Microsoft's and Sony's booths.
As a final juicy detail, on September the 18th the first trailer for Nier RepliCant will be aired...
