20w ago - Today PlayStation 3 developer Exofreak has released a Facebook integrated PS3 XMB mod and video which allows you to use the basic functions of the Friends category (block list, add new friend, etc) if you got banned or can't access PSN and your friends category is empty.
To quote: This is a mod i have been working on for a few hours. Basically if you got banned or cant access psn and your friends category is empty, you can use this mod to have the basic functions of the friends category (block list, add new friend etc)
BUT HERE'S THE CATCH: it uses facebook to achieve them... eg, message box would take you to your psn messages normally but now it will redirect you to your facebook messages instead! basically its facebook integration into the xmb. Here's how to do it:
Unrar the file from this link (above)
Copy xmlhost to the root of the hdd
Then from multiman enable dev_blind and replace catgory_friend.xml (dev_blind>vsh>resource>explore>xmb)
Now log into facebook from the main browser with cookies enabled.

86w ago - SCEA Product Marketing Manager Chuck Lacson has announced today that fans can watch the latest Starhawk video trailer on Facebook and get free PS3 DLC to boot.
To quote: You may have noticed how our past trailers have focused on the things that make Starhawk so much fun to play.
Build to Kill was all about the fun of building a base and defending it against attack. Ride, Drive & Fly gave people a taste of what you can drive and pilot in-game.
Our latest trailer is all about the fun of teamwork, it's called "Build Your Team" and it's exclusively on Facebook.
Just click here to give it a view. You may recognize some familiar faces. Very familiar.
For those of you who have tried Starhawk already, you know that skills can get you far, but teamwork can get you further. The game becomes something completely different when you play with your friends and start working together. That's what our latest trailer is about. It also stars an "interesting" cast of characters....
