90w ago - Sega of America Community Manager Kellie Parker has shared a virtual tour of Tokyo this weekend through the eyes of Yakuza: Dead Souls on the PS3 entertainment system.
To quote: Many people dream of visiting Tokyo and a few lucky ones actually get to go. If the long flights, heavy suitcases and language barriers just aren't in the cards for you, don't fret.
You can still see some actual real-life Tokyo sights, restaurants, amusements and more in Yakuza: Dead Souls - which is out now on PS3, by the way.
Just like any good tourist guidebook, here's a map of Kamurocho (a city inspired by the famous red light district in Tokyo), with a numbered list of restaurants, advertising and more that are actually real-life things. We've also added the location of the first three zombie bosses*. We're just nice like that.
*The location of these items doesn't match those that can be found in real-life.
Also, we must warn you: there are no zombies in the real Tokyo - at least, as far as we know - but there are many, many more of them in Yakuza: Dead Souls than we've shown on this map. We'll let you find them all (or let them find you first)!

156w ago - Today Sony's Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared an eyes on, hands on peek at Shadow of the Colossus in 3D on the PS3 entertainment system.
To quote: Looming majestically over the wind-swept plains, the Colossus lowers its ponderous head to peer at the tiny, curious creature scuttling before it.
Of course, that tiny creature is you. And before long, you'll be dangling from the great brute, magic sword clutched tightly in one small hand, as you prepare to bring the Goliath to its knees with a series of pinprick stabs.
Once the battle is over and you've slain the giant, you may be left to grapple with a haunting question: "Why?"
This is Shadow of the Colossus, one of the most highly regarded games ever released and a beacon to many game developers for its epic grandness, its subtle artistry, and its messy emotional context.
Along with Ico, Shadow of the Colossus is returning this spring in dazzling HD with robust (though optional) stereoscopic 3D support. I donned a pair of active-shutter 3D glasses to get a fresh look at Fumito Ueda's masterpiece running on the PS3.
Playing Shadow of the Colossus in 3D, I was immediately struck by the agoraphobic vastness of the landscape. The stark beauty of the world is far clearer...
247w ago - Who says stoners are lazy? This one sure wasn't. He took a replacement case for a XBox 360 and created a bong out of it.
What's a bong? It's a smoking utility - you know; the ganja, mary jane, wacky tabaccy.
To quote: We've seen bongs made out of N64 and NES controllers, and both were amazing. But a bong made out of an Xbox 360? Oh hell yes.
As you can see by the below photos, this is a serious piece of custom-made weed smoking equipment. Sure, it won't play Fallout 3, but it'll make playing Fallout 3 on a functioning Xbox a lot more fun.
Now if someone wants to make a grinder or a stash box out of a controller to match this thing, you'd have the most epic and nerdy smoking setup ever. I love it. Anyone else have homemade gaming-related paraphernalia? Send it to me!
328w ago - Yah, the new Portal is bright- it's a stock theme and if it floats we will customize it later. Our Forums are also back online and brighter too, again another stock style which will likely be updated once we have some freetime.
Our Staff isn't the only one who can post news here now, anyone can and link to their own page with the related files, etc in their articles. This is now a community effort to keep people updated on the latest PS3 and other news that would interest techies and gamers alike.
If you like an article then leave a comment (requires a new registration) or vote for it by clicking the button on the left. Those with the most votes remain on the main Site News page longer and will also appear on the Top Today tab above.
Finally, we have a lot more to do before this is done (for example, move this from /new/ on the server and fix some sub-domain stuff) so please bear with us over the next few days and thanks for your patience people!
