To quote: Last week we kicked off the new advertising campaign for PlayStation Move with Kevin Butler moving in with the Maguire family to demonstrate how PlayStation Move has something for every gamer in the household.

I hope you've been able to catch the commercials on some of the season opening NFL games and college football games, as well as on tons of other premium programming.

Our next installment is aimed at the younger members of the family (the Maguire's as well as yours). EyePet is being hailed by IGN as the "most exciting Move game" thanks to its introduction of augmented reality.

162w ago - Today Producer Petro Piaseckyj has posted up a PlayStation Move developer diary video featuring EyePet for Sony's PS3 entertainment system.

To quote: As you may know, we launched EyePet in Europe last year as a PlayStation Eye title. However, this year, we are very excited to finally introduce EyePet to North America, not to mention, as a PlayStation Move title!

We debuted EyePet and its Move compatibility recently at the Game Developer's Conference in San Francisco, where the response has been tremendous. The marriage of augmented reality and the interactions between the EyePet and his owner, via the PlayStation Move, has been turning quite a few heads.

The PlayStation Move controller can be used in many ways throughout the game. You can engage in a variety of pet care activities like feeding, washing and styling your pet, as well as playing various games using toys such as a bubble wand, fish net or trampoline.

You can also use the PlayStation Move controller to draw items on the screen that your pet can interact with, such as planes or cars.

Well, we made some changes to the game and I am pleased to announce that EyePet is officially back on the calendar, and better than before.

193w ago - Just before the weekend we caught a glimpse of some EyePet PS3 gameplay video footage.

Sadly, both Gamestop and Amazon have now pushed the launch date of EyePet back.

GamerVision (linked above) has received confirmation from Sony that EyePet will indeed miss the holiday release in North America.

To quote from the official response: "The North American territory has decided to take additional time to focus on the EyePet product and can confirm it will not be available this holiday.

EyePet is an innovative and exciting new IP to the PS3 platform and SCEA marketing will spend additional time to continue educating consumers and retail channels, setting the table for a successful product launch.

We will provide more details on an updated launch timeframe very soon."

194w ago - Today VG247.com received a final version of PlayStation Eye game EyePet, which includes the camera little paw pad used to control objects on the screen in the pop-up box.

A video with roughly 15 minutes of PS3 gameplay footage is below, and to quote:
