Our friends over at Sony HQ must be at their whits end with all this Halo 3 talk, because they devilishly and secretly stuck it to the Halo franchise with a ::gasp:: Wikipedia revision! Using WikiScanner, it was discovered that an IP address originating out of Sony's UK studios edited the Wikipedia entry for "Halo series" dissing Halo 3's graphics. Sony's Wiki revision poked fun of the game's graphics by saying that they "wont look any better than Halo 2". Ouch Sony, just ouch. But don't worry Halo fanboys, because the Halo series wiki entry has since been corrected and set to a semi-locked status. Take that Halo haters!
Hardcore gamers were beginning to wonder if Nintendo had forgotten them
Hardcore gamers were starting to wonder if Nintendo had forgotten about them. The company likes to crow about the smash success of its DS and Wii machines — and about how its expanded the gaming audience to include people like your grandma.
"Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" is proof positive that Nintendo still loves those that stood by them during the leaner GameCube years. This is an extremely well-crafted rollercoaster ride featuring one of the most beloved figures in Nintendo's mascot menagerie, bounty hunter Samus Aran.
In this first-person perspective game, sci-fi heroine Samus must take on an array of space pirates, alien nasties, and ultimately her shadow, the evil Dark Samus. Samus comes packing — she's equipped with a giant multi-purpose cannon attached to her left arm.
Over the course of the game, players will accumulate an arsenal of weapon power-ups... More »

As expected, Hideo Kojima came packing a brand-new trailer for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, one that's much more story-oriented -- including the re-introduction of Metal Gear Ray and Rex -- than ever before. Kojima stuck behind the early 2008 release date for his latest sequel, and users interested in remaining pure for his "last" installment in the series will probably want to avoid the new trailer.
Additionally, Kojima confirmed MGS4 will come bundled with a Metal Gear Online "starter pack," but declined to specify what exactly that includes. That wasn't all for the Metal Gear universe, either, as a new trailer rolled for Metal Gear Portable Ops Plus, which apparently so... More »
Kojima Production's Assistant Producer Ryan Payton chimed in on the KP Report podcast this week with evidence that Shane and Ryan haven't lost their minds. Participating on the podcast are 1UP's own Mark MacDonald and frequent 1UP contributor John Ricciardi, and when asked by Ricciardi if "it's safe to definitively say that the rumble in the Dual Shock 3 is better than the rumble in the Dual Shock 2," Payton responded, "Absolutely, yeah. It feels better, and I think Shane experienced that too."
Unfortunately, that's about all that's said on the subject, as they immediately change topics to Devil May Cry 4. So if the rumbling is clearly better than the DualShock 2's, why has Sony stated the technology is the same? We'll remind you of Occam's razor: the simplest solution tends to be the right one.
Alright. Now, this next entry should be credited to PS3News because when I saw him comment, I immediately thought of power. Why? Because I ran a situation in my head which went along the point of someone having control over the Site News and just submitting random stories that meant absolutely nothing and only had news that was significant to them etc.
So. What was I thinking? Even a little bit of power can go to someone's head. It's human nature really. The moment you gain a little power over someone else, the moment you feel that you're more important, more significant, that is the moment you become corrupt and arrogant. It's actually quite sad. However, as I already mentioned, it's human nature.
First I wanted to note that my last entry was written between 11:40 - 12 at night. Keep in mind that it was a school night too. So when I went to bed after writing up that entry, I realize that I was kinda giving CBS some free advertisement and I felt kinda lame/used T_____T Alright... maybe I didn't feel used but meh =P Now I'm just delaying my episode so I think I'll start it up now. Man... I should totally make youtube videos of my rants. Lols. I think I would get flamed by youtube a-holes.
Random Rant Episode 6: The Definitions of the World
In my last post I mentioned that I would talk about what a man is. Now, keep in mind when it comes to topics like these, these are just MY opinions. Your opinion may be different or similar. If I were to ask you what it means to be different, you all would probably give me a different answer. Some of you will have very similar answers as well. If I were to ask you ... More »
Team NINJA executive producer Tomonobu Itagaki first burst into prominence with Dead or Alive; the original entry became notorious for the size and mobility of its female characters' breasts as much as its Virtua Fighter-baiting gameplay.
Since then, his development studio has increasingly gained relevance. He surprised the world by throwing his weight behind Microsoft in 2000 with the release of Dead or Alive 3 exclusively for the Xbox; in 2004, Ninja Gaiden reinvigorated action gamers with its polish and punishing difficulty.
