50°
14w ago - Ready At Dawn Studios CEO and Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya announced today that The Order: 1886 E3 PS4 trailer is now available with the emergence of a new enemy below!

To quote: E3 2014 is upon us. Exactly a year ago, we launched our new IP with a trailer that introduced The Order and its Knights. As we revealed more about the game in the months that followed, we left one questioned unanswered. Who is the enemy hidden in the fog?

The Half-Breeds are many, its different species having evolved in their own rights, becoming a formidable and deadly threat to humanity's dominance. One species in particular has taken dominion over the lands of Northern Europe and has threatened the rule of man for centuries.

Lycan was the name given by humans to the species of Half-Breeds that acquired certain lupine and feline traits. Upon seeing them, people equated their looks to the myth and legends of werewolves that had been retold from generation to generation.

What the Lycans lack in numbers, they make up in sheer strength and agility, and have proven to be some of the deadliest foes The Order has ever faced. In human form, they remain impossible to identify and as such, they hide in plain sight amongst the populace. With both Lycans and the Rebellion threatening the city of London,...

Video: Thief on PS4 and PS3: New Trailer Emerges, Out This Month

100°
32w ago - Producer Stephane Roy of Eidos Montreal shared a new video trailer today announcing that Thief will be hitting both PS4 and PS3 platforms this month.

To quote: It's a wrap! After liters of coffee and buckets of sweat, I'm really thrilled to be able to scream it from the rooftops: THIEF IS DONE!

That's right - Thief has gone gold and will be available on February 25th. To find out everything you need to know about the game we've created a new 101 trailer that we're releasing today.

Thief really brings to life the fantasy of being the ultimate Master Thief: planning a heist and infiltrating your target, avoiding all the security measures in your way, grabbing the most precious loot and escaping without getting caught.

I'm particularly proud of all the efforts the team has made to honor the history of the franchise while remaining connected to the gamers of today. This is something that our studio Eidos-Montreal achieved first with our previous game, Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Fans of the original Thief will be relieved to find the ingredients that made it one of the most respected franchises in the industry.

The game doesn't take gamers for idiots, it's far from easy, and...

Video: Splinter Cell Blacklist PS3 Trailer Emerges From the Shadows

50°
73w ago - Community Developer Zack Cooper shared a video trailer today unveiling Splinter Cell Blacklist emerges from the shadows on the PS3 entertainment system.

To quote: I'm stoked to speak with you guys about our latest trailer for Blacklist, which we're calling "Stalk. Strike. Silence." If you're a Splinter Cell fan, you know that there's a rich history to the franchise.

The idea behind Blacklist is to embrace those roots by bringing back most of the core elements and merging them with the advanced gameplay and graphical evolution of the more recent Splinter Cell games.

We're also bringing back that sweet, dark, geopolitical drama that Tom Clancy fans are familiar with. In Splinter Cell Blacklist, the high-level storyline centers on a group of rogue nations coming together to create an ultimatum; they've had enough of the American occupancy on their land. This collective institutes a countdown, warning the United States to back off... or else.

That 'or else' involves specific threats to American interests. That's where Sam Fisher, now the leader of his newly formed Fourth Echelon unit, their mobile command center, the Paladin, and the classic Splinter Cell globetrotting come into play.

Looking at this trailer in particular, we wanted to re-establish Sam for both...

Video: Dokuro: A Bone-a-fide Hero Emerges Today on PS Vita

50°
100w ago - GungHo Online Entertainment America Community Associate Antonio Cara has shared a video spotlighting Dokuro: A Bone-a-fide Hero which emerges on PS Vita today.

To quote: In my last post, I talked a bit about the origins of my favorite numbskull, Dokuro, and the story surrounding his heroic exploits. My ever-diminishing pool of skeleton-themed puns notwithstanding, I'd like to go a bit deeper into the gameplay elements of Dokuro as well as the concepts that spurred development choices.

Although Dokuro was inspired by children's books - [Register or Login to view links] and a Japanese children's book called Kuma to Yamaneko - don't let the adorable chalk-laden game fool you into thinking the Dark Lord's castle is child's play.

At first, Dokuro may look like a pretty straightforward 2D side-scrolling puzzler: You've got a clear goal of escorting the princess from point A to point B, and a seemingly narrow list of what you can and cannot do to accomplish it.

You push a few boxes around, toggle a switch or two, and bash a few bozos who try to hurt your precious princess. The game wouldn't be a fraction as interesting as it is, however, if it simply stopped there.

As you progress through the treacherous castle, you...
