58w ago - Following last week's leaks, today Electronic Arts has had no choice but to spill the beans and announce Crysis 3, revealing its 2013 release projection and limited edition plans.
To quote: Crysis 3 returns to New York, with Prophet returning to find the city trapped in a "Nanodome" by the Cell Corporation. It promises "seven distinct and treacherous environments" as the city becomes engulfed in natural flora, having turned into an "urban rainforest." This seems to confirm suggestions that the game would blend the jungle setting of the first game with the city environments of the second.
Gameplay has been described as "sandbox," so don't expect it to be as linear as the last one.
Pre-order bonuses have already been revealed, with select retailers offering various multiplayer packs, detailed below. Furthermore, the Crysis 3 Hunter Edition is available to pre-order now, and includes the "Hunter" Nanosuit module, a bonus XP boost for the multiplayer, three exclusive dog tags, and a unique skin for the debuting composite bow weapon.
Crysis 3 will be available in Spring of next year.

To quote: DICE's Battlefield 3 had an incredible showing at last week's E3, racking up over 30 award nominations. But for many shooter fans, one question remained -- "Where's the console version?"
Well, tonight those questions are answered as DICE's own Johan Dohl stops by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to give Jimmy the first hands on with Battlefield 3 for PS3.
Be sure to set those TIVO's, and for more information on Battlefield 3 be sure to watch our interview with Patrick Bach, Executive Producer on Battlefield 3 below.
One more thing! If you missed the news at PlayStation's E3 2011 Press Conference, the PS3 version of Battlefield 3 will include the full version of Battlefield 1943 on the Blu-ray disc -- an exclusive bonus just for PS3 owners.

134w ago - Electronic Arts Community Coordinator Eduardo Vasconcellos has announced today that Medal of Honor for PS3 is getting what's being dubbed Hot Zone.
To quote: It's been a few weeks since Medal of Honor launched, and thanks to our fantastic PlayStation fans, things have been a great success.
Now that you've had time to get used to the game's multiplayer offering on the PlayStation Network, I think it's time we let you in on a little secret: there's more. While you may already know that Clean Sweep is coming on November 2 (free for everyone who activated their Medal of Honor Online Pass), what we didn't tell you is that a whole new mode dubbed Hot Zone is coming to the PSN on the same day.
Coming to the PlayStation Network for $9.99, Hot Zone is a king of the hill-type mode where two teams tussle over a single objective within a map. As long as you hold the Hot Zone, you gain points which go to your final score.
Unlike other game modes, maintaining control on the Hot Zone is the only way to earn points, so while laying down suppressing fire and taking out enemies coming your way is certainly a good thing, these kills won't earn you any extra points.
The pacing and overall feel of the new mode is different as all players will be surrounding a single...
146w ago - Today Electronic Arts via developer Bright Light has announced Create for PS3 complete with PlayStation Move support, and also coming to the PC, Wii, Xbox 360 and Mac this November, 2010.
Similar in concept to the popular LittleBigPlanet, Create allows players to use their creativity to solve problems and build their own levels.
To quote: "Create uses families' imaginations to develop new ways to play together that are both fun and challenging, said Harvey Elliott, VP and General Manager at EA Bright Light. "We wanted to design a game where the entire family can explore, decorate, and solve challenges where no solution is wrong and the only limit is the imagination.
PlayStation 3 owners will be able to use the PS Move to use the tools in Create to build and play their own levels while Wii owners will obviously be able to use the Wii-mote. There does not appear to be any support for Kinect for the Xbox 360, however.
The more players explore the game, solve level-based challenges, and customize their world, the more rewards will be unlocked. Creativity will be unleashed as players design environments with easy-to-use brushes and tools, including textures, props and animating objects that bring the scene to life.
