50°
26w ago - XDEV Producer Ian Pickles announced that a Resogun update arrives tomorrow complete with a Ship Editor, Local Co-op, and PS4 Trophies as outlined below!

To quote: What up PlayStation Nation! Ian Pickles, Producer at XDEV Studio Europe here with some news regarding the new Resogun update, which will be hitting your PS4 before the end of this weekend.

This update, which is free to all owners of Resogun, lays the ground work for the forthcoming Heroes expansion due next week, which will expand your Resogun experience with new modes, game worlds and more.

In addition to getting you ready for Heroes, we wanted to give everyone something extra to thank you for the amazing support and reception you've shown Resogun since release. The guys at Housemarque and us here at XDEV Studio Europe were amazed by the reaction to the game - thank you all so much for getting behind the game.

With that in mind, alongside lots of tweaks, improvements and bug fixes, this free update contains a few special treats from us:

Ship Editor

One of the more requested features we've seen since the world got a look at "dem voxels" is the ability to create your own ship. Housemarque listened and created a fully featured Ship Editor for you to play with as part of this free update!

Resogun: New Modes, Ship Editor, and More Hitting PS4 This Month

50°
28w ago - Housemarque's Mikael Haveri announced today that new modes, a ship editor, and more are hitting Resogun on PS4 this month!

To quote: Great news everyone - the humans are back!

The explosive PS4 launch title, RESOGUN, is finally getting more content in the form of the Heroes expansion and a complimentary patch.

RESOGUN: Heroes will introduce two brand new modes: 'Survival'' and 'Demolition'. In essence, Survival is an endless mode that retains a lot of the core mechanics from the original Arcade mode. We switched up a few things, like scoring, and gave the humans parachutes as you can see in the image below.

The Day/Night cycle is another prominent feature of the new Survival mode. As you play, the varying time of day provides a great aesthetic and visual indicator, letting you know how far you have come.

Survival mode is for players who know they can always do a bit better. There are a lot of cool new things to learn while you take the ride, but as we intend to stay true to the arcade feeling, we will let you discover the twists yourself.

Demolition is my personal favorite, and a quantum leap from the original gameplay mechanics. "Arkanoid meets RESOGUN" is one way to sum...

Videos: SHAREfactory: Sony Demos PlayStation 4's New Video Editor

50°
34w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill shared some PS4 video footage today demonstrating the PlayStation 4's new video editor below!

To quote: SHAREfactory is now available on PlayStation 4, alongside PS4 System Software Update v1.70.

A dead-simple rich video editor, SHAREfactory lets players capture gameplay clips (a process that's been streamlined as part of the v1.70 update) and add transitions, music, commentary, and more to turn their raw footage into full-fledged videos.

The PlayStation.Blog team - with painfully little knowledge of video editing - ventured blindly into this new app to see what we could come up with... and we think the results are pretty admirable given our lack of expertise! As it turns out, SHAREfactory is deceptively full featured, despite its instant accessibility.

Watch our videos below, then tell us whose is best. The editor who gets the most votes will forever bear the title of SCEA SHAREfactory Champion, and all privileges associated with it (I'm getting a belt made). Of course, we want to hear your arguments for each of our entries in the comments, as well.

First, I put together a tips guide for inFAMOUS...
