Attention: Jr Members, Members, Sr Members and VIP Members!

250°
9h ago - This thread is intended only for Jr Members, Members, Sr Members and VIP Members (Moderators too, of course)... starting with the Jr Member (6+ posts) UserGroup the site is completely ad-free, so our question now to everyone onboard is...

What type of 'perks' would interest you in us adding to PS3News.com?

Our goal is to reward those (like you!) who contribute to the site and forums, so we're seeking suggestions and feedback

If you have any ideas, feel free to discuss them in this thread. UserGroups below Jr Member will be able to view but not reply to this topic, so as not to litter it just to boost their post count up.

Some 'Perks' Ideas:

  • Separate Public Forum just for higher up UserGroups to post in, others can only view it in read-only mode.

  • Private Forum just for higher up UserGroups to post in, to discuss/share whatever without the whole site accessing it.

  • We could add a @Mention system (such as dragonbyte-tech.com/product/20-advanced-user-tagging/) for contributors.

  • We could parse all links...

Road Not Taken Free PS4 Update is Out Now on PlayStation 4

100°
6d ago - Spry Fox CEO David Edery announced that the Road Not Taken free PS4 update is out now on PlayStation 4 with details below!

To quote: Hi folks! We're pleased to announce the first major (free!) update to Road Not Taken is hitting your PS4s now! There's a lot of goodies in here, the most notable of which include:

• "Easier" mode and hard mode: many people have told us that while they love the original gameplay and the art in Road Not Taken, the game is simply too difficult for them. After chewing on this feedback for a while, we decided to split the game into two modes, Normal and Hard.

"Hard" is basically our original mode with just a few tweaks; "Normal" is a new mode that is more generous with energy and has less crowded (and therefore less difficult) rooms, among other changes.

In addition, checkpoints are now less punishing to use (in both modes), so players who felt like they were pointless before will hopefully find them more of a tempting gamble now.

• New "just for fun" Timed Mode: try to rescue all the kids within four minutes! You lose time whenever you take damage, and you add time to the clock whenever you eat food and rescue children. Timed Mode has no impact on your career, so it's a great way to enjoy Road Not Taken for a few minutes with limited...

The legendary classics Suikoden I & II, the single screen competitive chaos of Towerfall: Ascension, the gorgeous Tactical Strategy RPG The Banner Saga, the ludicrous suburban Octopus simulator Octodad: Dadliest Catch, the craziest time traveling shooter of all time, Super Time Force Ultra and the latest entry in the legendary shambling zombie franchise, Resident Evil Revelations 2.

All this and that's not even including all the other great Vita content we announced, like, Bastion, Darkest Dungeon, Severed, Shovel Knight and Broken Age: the Complete Adventure.

Whether you're into twitchy arcade action, deep strategy games with epic tales, or clumsy mollusks that have trouble with the most basic of tasks, there's...

Video: Drawn to Death, Hand-Drawn Arena Shooter Coming to PS4

50°
2w ago - Video Game Designer / Director David Jaffe made available a PS4 video trailer video today announcing that Drawn to Death, a hand-drawn arena shooter, is coming to PlayStation 4.

To quote: Hey y'all! David Jaffe here, game director at The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency.

Today's a big, big day for all of us at our little game making and ghost hunting studio.

As for the ghost hunting team, Bartlet and crew have made some big discoveries in the whole Al Capone opera house haunting. Keep an eye out for an update that should be hitting your favorite ghost hunting site soon (and perhaps major news sites as well if what Bartlet thinks they've found ends up being authenticated!)

As for the game making part of the company, today is the day we're finally able to reveal DRAWN TO DEATH, the game we've been making with the fantastic crew at Sony San Diego!

And if I may, before I jump into details, I gotta say: MAN it feels great to be back with my Sony family!!!

I remember sitting in Scott Rhode's office 18 months ago, pitching him the game and trying to be cool and pro and not express my excitement when it started to become clear that Scott was going to give Drawn To Death the go ahead and that PlayStation 4 would be the home of the studio's first...
