23w ago - Bungie Community Manager DeeJ revealed some Destiny: E3 2013 HD gameplay on PlayStation 4 today for PS4 fans below.
To quote: Hey, PlayStation fans.
If you saw the PlayStation Press Conference at E3, or watched the live stream from the Sony booth, you may have witnessed the worldwide gameplay reveal for Destiny. If you missed it, we have no intentions of leaving you behind.
One thing that should be experienced first-hand is the first glimpse of Destiny gameplay that we shared with the world from that stage in Los Angeles.
Now that we've had some time to unpack and settle in at home, we've recreated the show we put on in lovely HD. Settle in and scrutinize the adventure all over again, or for the first time.
Over on Bungie.net, we've released this video with as part of our week-long celebration of Bungie Day.
Each year, on the seventh day of the seventh month, we take a moment to thank the members of our community for their passion and enthusiasm for our games. We'll be releasing Destiny goodies all week long, and you're invited to the party. If you intend to join us for Destiny, now is a great time to register.
24w ago - Dynamighty Lead Designer David Nottingham shared a video from E3 2013 today showcasing CounterSpy infiltrating PlayStation 3 and PS Vita consoles below.
To quote: So last week was a crazy E3 blur for us at Dynamighty.
Thanks to the good folks at Sony we were able to show CounterSpy to lots of people in their booth. While we were not showing on the main floor we still had a great presence with lots of buzz and even an award nomination! (Thanks Hardcore Gamer!) and we also released our first trailer for the game!
At the show, we were sandwiched between two absolutely beautiful games, Puppeteer, which looks gorgeous, and Beyond: Two Souls, which I swear, people were mistaking for a PS4 title, it looked that good. It was humbling but also inspiring to see the company we were in.
John and I were running between two locations, as the game was being shown in two areas, plus we did some interviews. This live interview with Gamespot was a particular highlight.
It was our first EVER live interview talking about our game and as John was demoing the controller stopped working! I can...
25w ago - Sony Director of Emerging Platforms Chris Mahoney announced that PlayStation Mobile was in full force at E3 this year.
To quote: This year we had some fun and exciting PlayStation Mobile games at our E3 booth in Los Angeles, as well as in the virtual booth within PlayStation Home on your PlayStation 3.
Also, we have been listening to our PlayStation Mobile community and we are pleased to say that your DualShock 3 can now be used to play some of your favorite PlayStation Mobile games on select PlayStation Certified devices.
In fact, Haunt the House: Terrortown and Switch Galaxy were both playable with a DualShock 3 in our booth at E3. We are updating our device list with a small controller icon to show you which devices are compatible with the DualShock 3.
The PlayStation Mobile games at E3 this year were some of our best and most recent titles. If you want to download any of the eight games that are available now, you can easily find them in the PlayStation Mobile section of PlayStation Store on PlayStation Vita.
Owners of PlayStation Certified devices such as the Sony Mobile Communications' Xperia Z smartphone can download them through the PlayStation Store, which is part of the PlayStation...
25w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman went hands-on at this year's E3 expo and shared feedback on the new DualShock 4 PS4 controller below!
To quote: Following its debut at PlayStation's February 20th event in New York City, DualShock 4 has emerged at E3 in near-final form.
Though DualShock 3 has proven to be a capable and dependable wireless controller for years with PlayStation 3, the PS4's new weapon of choice is a clear improvement across the board. Here are some quick E3 2013 impressions.
For me, DualShock 4's most impactful new feature is a subtle but shockingly satisfying detail: A glossy cross-hatched texture that wraps around the larger handles.
This texture provides a snug, more comfortable grip on the device compared to DualShock 3's slipperier feel. This is one of those things you'll need to try for yourself to truly understand, but once you experience it there's no going back. It's a delight.
Then there are the redesigned and retuned analog sticks, which now boast a concave surface and slightly stiffer deadzone that makes it easier to maneuver the camera using small, precise movements. The surface is also more tactile, but not so much that it impedes your thumb's ability to glide around the inner rim as your make subtle adjustments to your aiming...
25w ago - Muteki Corporation President, CEO and Founder Bryan Sawler announced that Dragon Fantasy Book II is coming to PSN at E3 2013.
Below are the details, to quote: Since we announced Dragon Fantasy Book II back in August, we've had a very, very busy year. Our little 16-bit RPG that could has grown into quite a beefy project! Most of the game is now complete, with big chunks of the game tuned and fully playable.
We've got some big ol' bosses in there ready to stomp on people. We've beefed the engine up quite a bit from the SNES-like roots we were originally targeting, using way more layers, sprites, and rotation and scaling effects than that console was ever capable of.
We've travelled to two PAXes and a GDC, showing the game to everyone we could - and losing our voices several times in the process. And we even spent a good chunk of time and brought Dragon Fantasy Book I over to PSN as well, thanks pretty much entirely to the comments on this blog!
Most recently, we've added area-of-effect attacks to Book II. Getting attacked by a cluster of rowdy rock monsters is now no big deal when you can hit all of them at once with a well-placed spin attack!
Many magic spells have AoE effects as well, such as Freezios, which now freezes all the enemies in a straight...
