13w ago - EXOR Studios Co-founder Pawel Lekki has announced that Zombie Driver HD: Apocalypse Pack PSN DLC is out this week.
Below are the details, to quote: As promised, we are releasing a fresh pack of content for Zombie Driver HD tomorrow.
It's called the Apocalypse Pack and it includes two awesome cars available in all game modes, plus an extra Slaughter Mode map - the Military Base.
Both of the new cars are guest appearances from our earlier project - D.I.P.R.I.P, which was a multiplayer car combat game released in 2008 as a free Source Engine mod.
The first of the two is called the "Chaos 126p" and it's a small and nimble monster truck (as far as monster trucks can be small, anyway). It's very fast and handles incredibly well in tight corners.
The second one is a huge custom made truck with jet engine exhausts called the "Auroch". It can ram through anything it its path, has lots of nitro and can carry up to eight passengers in the Story Mode.
The Military Base Slaughter mode map is one of the larger levels and as the name implies it's a based in an abandoned army depot. If Slaughter...
17w ago - EXOR Studios Co-founder Pawel Lekki has shared a video announcing that Zombie Driver HD crashes into PlayStation Network today!
To quote: This is Pawel Lekki - co-founder of EXOR Studios. I'm very happy to finally be able to tell you that Zombie Driver HD is coming out on the PlayStation Network in Europe today, priced at £7.99/€9.99.
Some of you may remember that I announced the game to be "coming soon" quite a while ago and I'd like to assure you that we spent all that extra time on making sure that the PlayStation 3 version is polished in every detail.
It took us a lot longer to finish the game than we originally expected, but in return we were able to add a lot more content. Check out the trailer below to see what I'm talking about:
Zombie Driver HD on the PS3 is the first console version of the game rendered in native 1920x1080 resolution with no compromise. We wanted to make sure that the game looks really good in Full HD and a simple "up-scale" of our 2D art was out of the question.
60w ago - Following up on his previous PS Vita developments, today PlayStation Vita hacker Davee reports that he has discovered Sony's sceKermit driver which is a communication interface for the included PSP emulator.
To quote from his blog (linked above): "Turns out he's not just a green frog! So, I've been throwing this word around recently and it's probably about time I explain. Kermit, either a protocol or perhaps a funny name (see KIRK/SPOCK) is a communication interface for the PSP emu. Specifically it allows the PSP to talk to the host.
Now, I can tell there aren't as many developers here, so I'll try to simplify for the curious minds but this stuff is pretty complicated. I'll only explain the API in detail as the lower level still need a little bit of clearing up, but here goes.
Ok, Kermit is here so that the emu can communicate to the host to share resources and other vitality. Perhaps the primary reason is that of hardware; the PSP emu is excluded from many hardware devices. So kermit sets in and allows the system to talk to the vita in order to use the hardware. Blabbering aside, this is the hardware that kermit seems to be responsible for:
If while executing it asks: You are running a kernel (version 2.6.38-powerpc64) and attempting to remove the same version. This is a potentially disastrous action. Not only will /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.38-powerpc64 be removed, making it impossible to boot it, (you will have to take action to change your boot loader to boot a new kernel), it will also remove all modules under the directory /lib/modules/2.6.38-powerpc64. Just having a copy of the kernel image is not enough, you will have to replace the modules too.
I repeat, this is very dangerous. If at all in doubt,...
