114w ago - Sega's Associate Digital Brand Manager Ben Harborne has shared two videos today as part of double Dreamcast PSN Tuesday, which showcase both Sega Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5 Part 2 below.
To quote: Space Channel 5 Part 2 will be boogieing into the PlayStation Store later on today along with SEGA Bass Fishing - can you say Double Dreamcast Tuesday? Pick up either one for a smooth $10 each. Man, that's refreshing.
SEGA Bass Fishing has been an arcade favorite for years, gobbling up quarters since 1998 here in the US. Bass Fishing then caused quite a splash when it launched with the Dreamcast on 9/9/99 - a day very dear to all of us Dreamcast fans.
In terms of gameplay, Bass Fishing is surprisingly easy to pick up and get into, and it keeps you coming back for more with layers of depth added by the different fishing conditions and locations. Cast out in 8 different locations and lure in the biggest, baddest bass. Want to look like a pro? Use your Move controller!
If you're fishing in the morning try a surface lure. If you're fishing in the middle of the day, use a heavier lure to drop down to the cooler waters and pick up the prize bass you've been...
169w ago - Update: Some pictures and a video (below) are now available of the NullDC Dreamcast emulator running on PS3 for those interested!
A few days ago we reported news that drk||Raziel is working on porting the Sega DreamCast emulator NullDC to Sony's PS3, and today he reports that the BiOS is operational and running!
Speaking to PSGroove, drk||Raziel states, to quote: "Letsee .. oh wait, it cross compiled ! *yay* for uber portable code ;p Interpreter only / underclock 4x / no pvr rendering / no audio / no input. Bios intro runs fine, then gets on the clock dialog screen. YAY !"
Currently it is produced on a PS3 Debug unit due to its remote debugging, but the code will run on Retail PS3 consoles as well. Below is the log file for those curious, cool news indeed!
220w ago - According to Edge Online (linked above), Sega has leaked a confidential document (removed now) of a meeting with SCEA held in August by accidently uploading it to their public FTP site.
Among other things, the document states a March 2010 release for Sony's new Motion Controller in Japan with the ambition of selling 4-5 million units world-wide. No Prices or Bundles are mentioned though, yet.
Furthermore, and for many of you maybe even more interesting, the document states that Sony wants to introduce a PS2 emulator for the PS3, allowing them to sell DreamCast games and "all PS2 titles on PSN".
Unfortunately it doesn't mention any further details or the possibility to play PS2 game discs.
To quote: We've contacted Sony and Sega for comment and have reprinted the document in question in its entirety below:

243w ago - The SEGA Dreamcast, a system that many would say was way ahead of its time and a system many would argue was taken from us far too young.
Before it was cool to participate in online gaming on a console, Dreamcast had it. Before it was cool to speak to your games, Dreamcast had a microphone.
Because of a grand list of shenanigans on everyone's part, the Dreamcast crumbled due to the unstoppable juggernaut that was the PS2. Love it or hate it, Sega' s last hurrah was an innovative system with its share of great games.
The following is a top ten list to crown the 10 best Dreamcast games of all time:
10. Marvel vs. Capcom 2
9. Skies of Arcadia
8. Power Stone
7. Jet Grind Radio
6. Sonic Adventure
4. Sonic Adventure 2
3. Soul Caliber
2. Crazy Taxi
1. Resident Evil: Code Veronica
