Below are the details, to quote: During Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference which is currently being held in Japan Square Enix announced Dragon Quest Heroes for PS4 and PS3, currently in development at Omega Force.

Given the developer, you probably don’t need to see the trailer to know that the title will have some elements of a Dynasty Warriors-style experience, but this time around it’s an actual action RPG .

Fake Dragon Quest IX ROM Bricks Your Nintendo DS Console

250°
284w ago - A fake Dragon Quest IX ROM is currently in circulation online, and those who download and run the ROM can expect to receive a bricked Nintendo DS system.

The supposed rom is actually DarkFader's slideshow bricker released a few years back.

To quote from Triforce of DS-Scene (linked above):

Just a heads up in case anyone sees this release and gets excited, Dragon Quest IX JPN DSi Enhanced NDS iND is fake. Someone released it on 2chan claiming to have dumped the game early providing this image as proof the game was out.

In fact if you choose to check it out for yourself you will see it's actually a hentai slideshow called DS Owata. Images below are censored due to the graphic content.

I guess this was to be expected and has happened with a few other major releases in the past. The fake Zelda that retrohead (ds-scene's founder) released a couple of years ago springs to mind. Skip the small fry!

I cant believe I didn't notice this at first, I think this is actually the slideshow bricker DarkFader released years ago.

Dragon Quest IX Set for a March 2009 Release in Japan

50°
324w ago - Square Enix have announced that Dragon Quest IX: Protectors of the Sky will be released on March 29 in Japan.

The game, which has been dubbed "Japan's biggest title for 2009", will be shown at this years TGS but won't be playable. Pricing has yet to be set.

To quote: DQIX has endured somewhat of a rocky path before arriving at this final release time frame. The game was originally announced back in late 2006 as being due for a 2007 release. That was later pushed to 2008 as the game saw some changes to its battle system from the originally announced action-oriented system to classic-style menus.

Recently, in interviews with the mainstream media, Square Enix president Yoichi Wada said that a Dragon Quest game would make it out around the new year. He was either misquoted, or he was referring to another Dragon Quest game (or, just maybe, Square Enix celebrates New Years in March).

DQIX will make it to the Tokyo Game Show this year, but only in non-playable form. Square Enix will hold a stage show for the game, sharing the first details following a long period of silence.
