1w ago - Sony Creative Director CCP Praetorian announced that Dust 514 officially deploys today on PlayStation Network!
To quote: Greeting DUST Mercs! Ten years ago EVE Online launched on PC, and during that time it evolved with its players into the incredibly successful, critically acclaimed sci-fi game that players know today.
It grew organically beyond the original vision of the designers and into the player-driven galactic sandbox game where immortal starship pilots take the power to dictate their own destiny.
About a year ago we began a similar journey with DUST 514.
We set out to create something so ambitious and so crazy that we as gung-ho Vikings, had no choice but to make work. We sought to expand the EVE Universe from the stars to the planetary surfaces by creating an intense FPS on console and linking it to the largest single-shard PC-based MMO in history.
Not only did we want to link DUST 514 to EVE, we wanted a ramped-up level of interaction where DUST mercs communicated with EVE pilots and cooperated in space and on the ground to generate galactic conflict of amazing scale.
Mission accomplished. We are humbled and proud to be with you here on launch day to deliver on that original vision. Now that DUST 514 has launched, a new door has opened...
8w ago - Sony Community Strategist Aaron Kaufman of Santa Monica Studio announced that the God of War: Ascension PS3 update 1.03 deploys today with details below.
To quote: Champions! With God of War: Ascension out in the wild for two weeks now, we're seeing our ever-growing community becoming a legion of champions in multiplayer and thousands conquering Kratos' latest single-player journey.
We've been listening to every bit of constructive feedback on our boards, Twitter, Facebook, here on PlayStation.Blog, and around the internet stratosphere. Rest assured that our development team at Sony Santa Monica is committed to supporting you.
FACTOID: Ares is the most popular God allegiance thus far, but also has players with the lowest overall skill rating. Hades is the second most popular, and the highest skill rated players, evil incarnate FTW!
We're pleased to announce the release of our latest 1.03 update, deploying today. Though this update may be small, it throws an added support line at the Trial of Archimedes, and enhances multiplayer customization with a new appearance feature for your Champion - we call them "Marks".
We received extensive feedback from the community that the "Trial of Archimedes" section (Chapter 28) near the end of the game was excessively challenging....

150w ago - Today Dice Community Manager Daniel Matros has announced alongside a video that the Battlefield Bad Company 2: Onslaught Mode for PlayStation 3 is now deployed.
To quote: As you may or may not know, we just released Onslaught mode for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Just wanted to give you some more info on what you can expect in this new co-op experience.
Onslaught is co-op in the sense that you get to play with a squad of up to four soldiers against endless waves of A.I. enemies. Endless until you take the base flags, that is. The people who are actually doing the Onslaught are you -- the players.
Atacama Desert is a real favorite among Battlefield players. In Onslaught, this huge, vehicle-heavy map is ravaged by minor sandstorms that give it a limited visibility.
This makes Onslaught approachable on two totally different levels. First, it is the perfect place for newcomers to hone their squad tactics without having to face human opposition. On easy or normal difficulty, this should be very manageable by a team of four soldiers playing together. As long as one of you stays alive at all times, the others can keep spawning in.
For the elite squads out there, crank up the difficulty...
