4w ago - Capcom Super Street Fighter IV Producer Yoshinori Ono made available a new PlayStation 4 video trailer for Deep Down from E3 2014 below today!

To quote: Ono from Capcom here. We have shown the latest trailer for deep down at Sony's booth, and at Capcom's own booth.

What we've released on deep down so far is quite mysterious in nature, and I'm sure fans are eager to hear more concrete info.

The development team continues to work hard engaging in intense trial and error methodology in order to find the best way to utilize PS4′s potential when it comes to online games.

As such, I'm afraid I can't yet provide details on when the game will be released. I hope we can count on your patience and understanding as we forge ahead. Please accept my heartfelt apology for making you wait longer.

While I have your attention, please let me remind you that my team has just recently released the Ultra Street Fighter IV update to PlayStation Store. If you have the previous iteration of the series, I encourage you to check out this exciting new expansion.

Believe me when I say that I and my team have much more up our sleeves that we can't talk about just yet. Stay tuned for more!

Deep Silver Announces Dead Island 2 Coming to PS4, Beta Revealed

100°
4w ago - Deep Silver Creative Producer Jan-Eric Lauble announced today that Dead Island 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 with PS4 Beta details below!

To quote: Hello everyone! On behalf of Deep Silver, producer Carsten Lindner and I are extremely proud to announce Dead Island 2.

Right after the release of the original Dead Island, we started working to create a true sequel of our beloved franchise to bring the shared open world survival experience with its visceral close combat, amazing setting and the awesome four-player co-op to a whole new level.

After the first outbreak on Banoi in Dead Island 1, the world has moved on. Zombies are known and everyone feels safe and prepared. Companies are selling vaccines and the latest zombie survival kits and people believe that the disaster that occurred on a small island in the middle of nowhere could never happen to them.
But they were so WRONG!

Suddenly, a string of brutal outbreaks occur in California and the government puts a wall around the infected area - leaving California as a "Dead Island." Dead? Not entirely, because let's face it, a zombie apocalypse has its upsides as well: No boring job, no traffic jams, and no bills to pay.

This new zombie...

Deep Silver on Exploring Weapon Spirits in Sacred 3 for PS3

50°
6w ago - Deep Silver developer Ryan Avery shared a PlayStation 3 update today on exploring weapon spirits in Sacred 3 for PS3.

Below are the details, as follows: Sacred 3 will introduce Weapon Spirits to the world of Ancaria.

These are more than just weapon modifies - they'll help the player to level their heroes and make their equipped weapons deadlier than ever. These mysterious spirits (some of which are based on characters from older Sacred games) come in all shapes and sizes, with many different powers to make for the perfect companion during the player's battle through Ancaria.

Weapon Spirits will enable players to increase critical hit rates, hamper enemy movement, regain health, provide essential support attributes as well as a multitude of other unique perks.

Let me jump quickly into an example of how these Weapon Spirits will specifically work in the game. One of the first Weapon Spirits that players will encounter is the Battle Mage.

Using him, you'll get less energy from orbs (found across Ancaria, containing health or energy to do special attacks) but you also have a 20% chance to trigger a Chain Lightning effect that hits four additional enemies for half your normal damage. What better way to wipe waves of enemies quickly?

Another way of...

Video: A Deeper Look at the PS4 World of Knack on PlayStation 4

38w ago - Sony Associate Project Manager Nick Accordino shared a video today which offers a deeper look at the PS4 world of Knack on PlayStation 4.

To quote: Hello, everyone. We're coming to the final stretch before the launch of PS4, as well as Knack, a game I've been honored to be a part of. It has been great working with the very talented folks at Japan Studio, not to mention Mark Cerny, a true living legend.

Our goal with Knack was to deliver a different kind of experience for PlayStation fans at launch, outside of the realm of gritty shooters and mature action games.

Knack harkens back to the golden days of Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter, when controls were simpler, but challenges were large enough that those control schemes had to be mastered by anyone intending to finish the games. So, who better to create a game like that than one of the creative forces that brought Crash and Jak to life, Mark Cerny himself?

Knack has a lot to offer, so I'm excited to be able to share some new details on the story, and some of the cool transformations that Knack takes on during the game.

The Story

The story, of course, revolves around Knack, mankind's secret weapon against the goblin...

Video: A Deeper Dive Into Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag on PS3

50°
39w ago - Sony Social Media and Community Manager Roberto Kusabbi posted up a new video today which gives fans a deeper dive into the world of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag on PS3.

To quote: Hello! It's been awhile. How are we all? Today I wanted to share with you a short film we put together at an Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag event we had special access to last month, including some more information on exclusive PlayStation content for the game.

I was lucky enough to enjoy a good stint of gameplay on PS4, including multiplayer, and it didn't disappoint. With the added graphical detail on PS4, the single player story mode is totally immersive, offering a huge open pirate world for you to plunder.

What I found most impressive was how the story links into actual historical events, delving deep into real pirate culture and folklore. And the online play? So. Much. Fun.

Check out the video for a closer look, and stay tuned - we'll have a few more clips coming your way in the next few weeks too, including something slightly different!
