Video: Drawn to Death, Hand-Drawn Arena Shooter Coming to PS4

50°
2w ago - Video Game Designer / Director David Jaffe made available a PS4 video trailer video today announcing that Drawn to Death, a hand-drawn arena shooter, is coming to PlayStation 4.

To quote: Hey y'all! David Jaffe here, game director at The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency.

Today's a big, big day for all of us at our little game making and ghost hunting studio.

As for the ghost hunting team, Bartlet and crew have made some big discoveries in the whole Al Capone opera house haunting. Keep an eye out for an update that should be hitting your favorite ghost hunting site soon (and perhaps major news sites as well if what Bartlet thinks they've found ends up being authenticated!)

As for the game making part of the company, today is the day we're finally able to reveal DRAWN TO DEATH, the game we've been making with the fantastic crew at Sony San Diego!

And if I may, before I jump into details, I gotta say: MAN it feels great to be back with my Sony family!!!

I remember sitting in Scott Rhode's office 18 months ago, pitching him the game and trying to be cool and pro and not express my excitement when it started to become clear that Scott was going to give Drawn To Death the go ahead and that PlayStation 4 would be the home of the studio's first...

Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death PS3 Launches July 8th on PlayStation 3

50°
24w ago - Alawar Entertainment Product Manager Polina Belavskaya announced that Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death for PS3 launches on July 8th for the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

To quote: Nothing can ruin a marriage proposal like an uninvited guest, especially when the guest is a demon that feeds on human suffering.

Mark had planned the perfect evening: first, a romantic dinner at his girlfriend's apartment, then getting smothered with kisses after he popped the question.

He would have pulled it off, too, if it hadn't been for the spell book he found on the terrace. AND if he hadn't read the ancient words scribbled on its pages. Has this guy never seen "Evil Dead?"

In a fury of flame and hell smoke, there she was: Lilit, complete with black lips, nails to die for (or die by), and a pair of devilish horns. In a flash, she snatched up Mark and dragged him to the underworld. Think of the last shot of "Drag Me To Hell" on steroids.

Tiffany, of course, wasn't going to let another woman steal her man, so she set out to get him back.

As you can tell, we had fun coming up with the scenario for Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death, a hidden object puzzle adventure available next week on PS3. We also had a good time designing the puzzles and crafting the locations.

One Way Trip on PS4, PS Vita: A Hallucinatory Journey Into Death

50°
28w ago - Project Lead Michael Frauenhofer announced that One Way Trip is coming to PS4 and PS Vita platforms featuring a hallucinatory journey into death.

To quote: Now that we're a year or so into development of One Way Trip, we have a pretty good idea of what we'd need from a platform to make the best possible "dream" version of our game - versatile/flexible controls, neat connectivity features, hardware powerful enough to push all the giant, detailed art assets we can dream of...

It's for these reasons and more that we're excited to announce that One Way Trip will be coming to PS4 and PS Vita exclusively when it makes its debut next year. Their power frees us to go bigger whenever possible, and lets us focus on making the game itself as exciting as we can.

In One Way Trip, you and your brother Barry discover that you've been poisoned in a mass attack on the water supply that has left a large portion of the nation with only six hours left to live, during which time they will be constantly hallucinating.

To put it another way, it's an atmospheric exploration of what it would be like to find out you and most everyone you love is about to die, and then have to process that while your limbs turn into cartoon dolphins.

PlayStation 4 Red Line of Death (PS4 RLOD) Overheating, Sony Responds

750°
61w ago - We've all heard of the dreaded PS3 YLOD (Yellow Light of Death) syndrome, but today a photo surfaced showing a demo PS4 console overheating and displaying what has been dubbed the Red Line of Death (PS4 RLOD) followed by Sony responding.

To quote: The picture was taken at a PS4 event in Spain and posted by Elotrolado member Homer J. Simpson in his report (via elotrolado.net/hilo_playstation-4_1864860_s36130#p1733944694) of the event. Here are his complete updated comments (roughly translated from Spanish):

“In terms of sound, practically none, you can hear the fan if you listened closely but nothing exaggerated. they had ventilated consoles and others put in enclosures completely closed that were running from 9am without stopping (we got there at 18:00 in the evening). they were running fine and were quite warm on the surface but nothing like our current generation consoles.

The only exception to that was one console that was completely enclosed in an acrylic case, it was showing a red light (where there would typically be a blue light) and there...
