Poisonhzkj released an update to Custom XMB, which is a CFW plug-in that allows you to load custom XMB themes. Changelog:
+new method implement
+add prx support(effect all prxs except those in pspbtcnf.txt)
+don't need to place the unused pgf font files in memstick anymore, u could simply place the files u need, for example: ltn0.pgf
how to use: place the theme files in ms0:/cxmb/ like:
ms0:/cxmb/vsh/module/opening_plugin.prx
ms0:/cxmb/vsh/resource/01-12.bmp
ms0:/cxmb/vsh/resource/opening_plugin.rco
ms0:/cxmb/font/ltn0.pgf
Notice: use *module* dont use nodule
Notice: u should use the uncompress prx, if u download a theme with compressed modules, u have to decompress it, so that cxmb could recognize them.
Notice2: use ms0:/cxmb/vsh/module/ (see? not *nodule*) for prx files and ms0:/cxmb/vsh/resource/ for rco files
Notice3: ms0:/cxmb/font/ for fonts, but actually it may cause ur browser some problem, and DO NOT put jpn0.pgf/kr0.pgf/gb3s1518.bwfon/ltn4.pgf here, it would bring u some unknown problems. ^-..-^
Poisonhzkj has updated CXMB today, a Custom Firmware plug-in that allows users to install custom made XMB themes from the memory stick rather than by copying files to the PSP’s flash memory.
Now compatible with 3.71 and 3.90 M33 series Firmware, the plug-in introduces a file format called CTF (short for CXMB theme file).
When installing a new theme to the memory stick, CXMB automatically creates a Default.ctf file on bootup which contains the contents of the installed theme.
Finally, pre-made themes in CTF format are available from the author's site HERE.
Red Squirrel has released an update to his Custom Firmware 3.90 M33 and 3.95 GEN compatible Alternative VSHMenu plug-in for PSP.
Version 5.0 features the ability to hide your PSP’s MAC address from view. In addition, the PSP is now auto-rebooted if any of the built-in CXMB, MAC or M33 VSHMenu settings are modified. This behavior is required to apply the selected changes, according to the author.
CF 3.90M33
-Possibility to hide the MAC address in System Information page (like CF 3.93/3.95GEN option!)
-Now PSP will be rebooted if you change CXMB, MAC or M33 VSHMenu options (to enable the changes!).
CF 3.95GEN
-Added Hide MAC Address option.
-Changed "M33 NET UPD." line in "NETWORK UPD.".
-Added GEN Updater under NETWORK UPDATE option.

Miriam has updated the popular CXMB plug-in, originally written by Poisonhzkj, with full support for the recently released 4.01 M33 Custom Firmware.
For those interested, CXMB allows users to safely load non-PTF custom made XMB themes from memory stick, rather than by replacing files on the PSP’s flash memory.
Poisonhzkj has returned with an official update to the theme-changing plug-in, adding full support for 4.01 M33 series custom firmware. And that’s not all, this version of CXMB is cross-compatible with earlier CFW revisions, including 3.71, 3.80, and 3.90 M33.
The author notes that users who built themes for the unofficial build will either need to re-package their CTF file or hex edit it at the offset 0×10, replacing DEAD0400 with DEAD0401.
Included in the archive below is both the “full” and “lite” edition of CXMB. If you are simply using CTF format themes created by others, it is recommended to install the latter.
1. Add 4.01 capability.
2. Select the random.ctf, then cxmb will randomly apply your themes in /PSP/THEME/
3. Compile universal binary, cxmb.pr... More »
Poisonhzkj has issued a minor maintenance update to CXMB. Version 3.2.1 fixes a bug that caused the plug-in to crash at times when applying a new XMB theme.
Additionally, the issue of theme settings reverting back to default after exiting from a UMD title has been solved.
On a side note, the author mentioned that a 4.01 M33 compatible version of HostCore, which allows users to access media content and files on their PC from the PSP, is due out soon.
An unfinished “preview” build of the upcoming release was provided for testing purposes. While not all features are working properly yet, the preview release does support network video playback.
Changes in 3.2.1:
-Fix bug (freeze while applying theme)
-Fix bug (restore t... More »
