Crysis Warhead Leaked, Protection is Fighting Piracy… for Now!

100°
305w ago - Crysis Warhead is currently available at your closet retail store or even on Steam, but there are some who made the decision that shelling out $29.99 isn't worth it.

For those who can't waste their time pulling out their wallets, are most likely already on their favorite file-sharing software, and downloading the leaked version of Crysis Warhead. Luckily for us who bought the game, we can still enjoy it with the upper edge as no real crack has been released.

What does this mean? It means people who pirate the game can install it, but won't be able to launch the title. YES, +1 for legit gamers... that is until a hack group comes along and creates the crack unleashing the wave of piracy.

Will it be bigger than Spore? Most likely no, but regardless it will be quite the popular file.

Review: Crysis Warhead

50°
305w ago - Not quite a full fledged sequel but never feeling like a tacked on expansion pack, Crysis Warhead finds the perfect balance for fans of the first installment all the while adding just enough new material to keep new recruits interested.

BOTTOM LINE: If you're a fan of the original or if you simply missed Crysis the first time around, Crysis Warhead is a prime example of an excellent, if relatively short, FPS experience.

Making things go "Boom"

And you thought your day job was tough.

Now, before we go any further, let's tackle the big question: can your computer run it? I had the good fortune of testing Crysis Warhead on three separate PCs - a high end PC with a graphics card to match and dual core processors, the $699 Crysis Warhead PC, and a lower end $499 computer with a run-of-the-mill graphics card and rather basic processor. I'm more than happy to report that on all three machines, the game ran incredibly...

320w ago - EA and Crytek today announced Crysis Warhead, the Parallel story to Crysis. Shipping exclusively for the PC this fall, Crysis Warhead is the first title to be developed at Crytek's Budapest studio, and is built on a new, enhanced and optimized version of Crytek's CryENGINE 2 technology.

Cevat Yerli, CEO and President of Crytek. "That being said, one of the key principles of our studio is to always raise the bar. With Warhead, we are focusing on refining our storytelling and game performance, while also delivering more of the visually stunning graphics and immersive, free-roaming gameplay everyone loved in Crysis."

"The best result of a partnership that we can ask for in the EA Partners program is when a world class independent studio like Crytek chooses to continue to work with us," said David DeMartini, Vice President and Global General Manager, EA Partners.

"Crysis was an amazing game and is going to be a blockbuster franchise. We could not be more excited to be working with Crytek to launch another hit with Crysis Warhead this year."

In Crysis Warhead, players will don the Nanosuit of Sergeant Sykes, also known as 'Psycho', one of the most memorable characters from Crysis. More brash and aggressive than his Delta Force squadmate Nomad, players...
