13w ago - Frogwares' Olga Ryzhko announced today that Sherlock: Crimes & Punishments hits PS4 and PS3 platforms in September, 2014.

To quote: Hi! It's Olga here with Frogwares, the studio behind the upcoming Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments. We kind of met earlier this year when we announced that Crimes and Punishments was coming to both PS3 and PS4; I recall you said it was awesome, remember?

Today I'm incredibly happy to announce that the game will be released in September. I invite you to discover our brand new video dedicated to Sherlock Holmes:

If you remember, Crimes and Punishments lets you become the greatest fictional detective of all time, Sherlock Holmes. We know him to be mostly an analytical, deduction-obsessed supergenius who steps in to investigate where Scotland Yard fails. This is exactly what you can expect with Crimes and Punishments.

There are six challenging and sophisticated cases to solve that involve murders, thefts, and disappearances; the game is investigation in its purest form. It requires you to act as a detective, to collect clues, to speak to witnesses and suspects, and finally to tie all the evidence together, making your own deductions, coming to your own conclusions.

We've been developing Sherlock Holmes games for over a decade now, and the recent reinventions of Sherlock Holmes in the new movies and series have put a spin on the character and the world he lives in.

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments is a detective game; it needs you to think. The game focuses heavily on investigation, and with an emphasis on narration, too.

There's a lot of exploration and clue collecting, speaking to witnesses and suspects, and - the most important aspect - bringing all of these together to make your own deductions and bring the culprits to justice... or setting them free.

With this new Sherlock Holmes game, we really wanted to involve the player to a degree that they've never experienced before, both emotionally and intellectually.

In Crimes & Punishments, your brain will be, once more, put to the test. This time we're offering...

Cops: Grand Theft Auto videogame inspired teen crimes

323w ago - Stephen Attard, 18, was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery after police say he and a group of teenagers went on a crime spree in Nassau County.

Teenagers who police say went on a video-game-inspired late-night crime spree were arraigned Thursday after police say they mugged a man outside a New Hyde Park supermarket and menaced motorists in Garden City with a baseball bat, a crowbar and a broomstick.

The teens told detectives they were imitating the Grand Theft Auto video game series where players steal cars, beat up other characters and score points for committing crimes.

Police have identified at least three victims: a man they said was severely beaten and had his teeth knocked out during a robbery; a would-be carjacking victim who called 911; and a driver whose van was smashed with a bat.

Nassau Det. Lt. Raymond Coté said there are likely more victims who were attacked. At one point during the spree, the group encountered young people their age.

"They realize they know them from school and they can't rob them," Coté said. "Two of them they enlist in this crime spree and now they're joining the pack. It's an angry mob of youths."

Arrested and charged with felony robbery were Dylan Laird, 17, of Southborough, Mass., and Stephen Attard,...
