We have waited a while to see the redesigned Slim PS3, and its hardware - to be honest, its not that "slim" compared to previous versions. Thanks to joinmeindeath417 of TechPowerUp (linked above), we get to take a look!

Compared to the later motherboard revisions of the PS3 Motherboard, it is somewhat in line - the "additions" come with a smaller cooler, smaller PSU, and slimmer BD-Rom drive,...

Remember when the first liquid cooled PS3 hit the Internet? Well finally some of the major cooling manufacturers are starting to take notice that us PS3 owners are looking for better options.

Two of these manufacturers are Koolance and Innovatek.

A bit pricey for the water blocks, plus you need a radiator/pump system to complete the setup. These new water blocks are...

When I had a look at the Lian Li XB01 case, I was jumping for joy, the case looks pretty badass. It's black, has a load of vents for air to pass through, or as Homer Simpson would say "Speed holes".

Overall at first impression, was very pleased with the design and even install manual they provide. It was very detailed screw by screw. I couldn't wait to get this going.

We just received a link leading to an AMD-sponsored YouTube channel, showing an HD video how Brian McLachlan [alias chew*] overclocked Phenom II 955 and DDR3 memory. You can see the HD video below.

What caught our attention in the video was the fact that Brian didn't take the usual route of slapping a LN2 pot and pouring Liquid-nitrogen from the word go.

Chew* used AMD Phenom II 955 processor, GigaByte 790FX-based motherboards [MA790FXT-UD5P], Corsair DDR3-1866 memory, ATI Radeon HD 4850 and 4890 graphics cards in single and Crossfire mode. In this video, chew* posted 4515 MHz CPU-Z using an air cooler, 5217 MHz CPU-Z score using Dry Ice and 6405 MHz using Liquid Nitrogen.

Personally, I am not very interested in seeing validation screenshots, even though I understand their point. I was always an stable system overclocker - my CPUs have to pass a 24 hour Linpack run in order to be called stable. Chew published so called "extreme...

As most are aware, Sony's PlayStation Home 1.10 Patch arrived a few days ago. The update weighs in at 77MB, and automatically downloads the next time you sign in.
