To quote: I wanted to share this highlight reel from the panel Jenova Chen and myself were on last week at Comic-Con (it was the first time attending for both of us!). We had a great time interacting with new and old fans, as we also had a playable demo in the main exhibit hall at the Sony PlayStation booth.

95w ago - Naughty Dog Community Strategist Arne Meyer has shared some video footage today from Comic-Con 2011 spotlighting the Uncharted 3 PS3 Interactive Entertainment Panel.

To quote: We're back from Comic-Con International 2011 and we've barely survived this year's awesome, and awesomely busy, show!

One of the our personal highlights from Comic-Con was being able to be in front of over 400 fans and talk about Uncharted 3 during our panel on Friday, July 22.

Moderated by USA Today's Mike Snider, the panel was called "Developing Interactive Entertainment: The Performance Capture Techniques of the UNCHARTED Franchise and Today's Film Industry" and it gave Amy Hennig, Taylor Kurosaki, Josh Scherr, Nolan North, Emily Rose and Richard McGonagle the perfect setting to discuss everything that goes into creating the industry-leading cinematics in the Uncharted series.

The panel also gave our fans their first look at an all-new cinematic scene, and some behind-the-scenes footage of the cast, that we prepared especially for Comic-Con.

96w ago - This weekend Producer Hisaharu Tago has shared a SoulCalibur V PS3 update from Comic-Con 2011 including details on the Ivy, Natsu, Z.W.E.I. characters, as follows:

I wanted to go over the SoulCalibur V news we announced at this week's San Diego Comic-Con to the PlayStation.Blog and all of its fans.

SoulCalibur V (SCV for short) is a bit of a particular project. There are two main reasons for this: The first one is because Project Soul, the development team behind the SoulCalibur franchise, was disbanded after the release of SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny for the PSP system.

The members were spread throughout Namco Bandai Games to work on other projects within the company. Soon after that happened, Katsuhiro Harada, the Director of the TEKKEN series, called on SoulCalibur fans to speak up and send a message to Namco Bandai Games to develop a new SoulCalibur title. As a result of Harada-san's request, we received many passionate notes from fans allowing us to reform Project Soul for SCV.

The entire Project Soul team, myself included, appreciates the outpouring of support from fans and wanted to reflect this with a new Project Soul logo.

96w ago - Playbrains Studio Director Scott Simpson has unveiled the first Sideway: New York PSN video trailer today alongside some hands-on details from Comic-Con 2011.

To quote: Sideway is our upcoming action platformer based on the in-development cartoon series from the wonderfully twisted minds at Fuel Entertainment.

Oh, did the screenshots convey that we have hours of mindbending levels full of danger and challenge that will make the paint run from your veins?

Or that we support drop-in, drop-out couch co-op so you can play with your friends or that the bosses in the game are unlike any you've come across in your gaming life before?

Did the shots at least convey the basic conceit of the game: that you painted over the wrong dude's tag, and that you, in fact, are now a moving 2D painting in a 3D world?

96w ago - Insomniac Games Senior Community Manager James Stevenson has shared some video footage today from Comic-Con 2011 spotlighting the Global Resistance online strategy game in Resistance 3 for PS3.

Last night, IGN Editor Colin Moriarty moderated a panel on Resistance 3 featuring Creative Director Marcus Smith, Art Director Grant Hollis, Animation Director Kevin Grow, as well as voice actor Robin Atkin Downes (Joseph Capelli) and Crispin Freeman (Charlie Tent).

The panel covered the Resistance universe, showed some of the new St. Louis footage we debuted on Gametrailers TV last night, and we discussed the St. Louis level, along with its mysterious story implications about Charlie Tent and his ragtag group of rebels.

And from there, we gave the audience a behind the scenes look of the motion- and performance- capture that we used to bring the characters to life in Resistance 3. Since you all couldn't be there with us, check out this highlight video of some of the best moments from the panel.
