227w ago - Well that didn't take long.. this afternoon fourzerotwo (aka Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling) tweeted the following:
Playlist update inbound for COD4. This will fix the exploits in public matches until the patch finishes certification at Microsoft & Sony!
Apparently this CoD4 Playlist Patch will fix the infamous CoD4 PS3 Hacks as well as the XBox 360 exploits in public games.
To quote: "According to Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling, a Call of Duty 4 patch has been sent to Microsoft and Sony for certification, which should foil any nefarious individuals who want to continue to cheat at the game.
In the meantime, a playlist update will stop them in public matches, so you should have a hacking-free multiplayer experience now."
227w ago - As a follow-up to the previous article on the recent Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare PS3 hacks, today GCN has revealed a video demonstrating the Call of Duty 4 'UFO' PS3 hack, which includes a guide and a sermon as follows:
"What does a hack do? Absolutely nothing. It takes no skill to fly around a damn map and kill people from above.
You may get a few laughs from it knowing that people can't kill you, but just so you know, you're completely garbage. Everyone in the game knows you're garbage, and you yourself, know you're garbage. There isn't any other way to put it."
Below is the video and guide from BinuRs for those curious:
To do this hack you need a USB drive. First go to this site and download this game save that has the codes in it.
Next you extract the file and you will get a folder called ps3 move that to your USB drive. Then plug your USB into your PS3 and turn it on. Go on game save ulitity data and select your usb drive and copy the game save from your usb to your PS3 (it will ask you to overwrite say yes).
241w ago - During his trip through Europe, Infinity Ward's Community Relations Manager Robert Bowling has found the time to tweet that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the Xbox 360 will be getting a patch soon that will be a headache for players who like to get their kicks by cheating.
Bowling says the patch is going through certification now and that the "cheaters days are numbered."
To quote: Heads up - A patch is in the works to elminate the cheaters in COD4 on Xbox360.
Going through certification now. Cheaters days are numbered.
261w ago - In its seemingly never-ending mission to confuse gamers, Activision has recently confirmed that Infinity Ward is hard at work on the sequel to its 2007 best seller, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, simply titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Why the number 4 has apparently been dropped is unknown, although we can speculate it's because Activision doesn't like the idea of having two numbers in one game title.
To make matters worse, some sites and gamers are propagating that this game should be called Call of Duty 6, even though there wasn't technically a Call of Duty 5, just Call of Duty: World at War, which really is the fifth entry into the franchise but isn't labeled as such. And this just begs the question: Come 2010, what will Treyarch dub their follow-up to World at War?
Luckily, it's all a big ploy from the devious ad guys at Activision. That recent merger with Blizzard must have really shaken things up over there for them to come up with something as crazy as this! They sent over the official press release for the actual next Call of Duty game to Minus World HQ via snail mail.
That's just how top secret this is...until now. We've been entrusted to break this news, and break it we shall. Soldiers and soldierettes, we give you Call of Duty 4 Part II Modern...
285w ago - Well I've been playing MGO a lot lately. Matter of fact it's all I've been playing. I used to play COD4 everyday but now that I have MGO COD4 has been collecting more dust than my PS3. While playing MGO I've come to the conclusion... MGO is better than COD4s Multiplayer.
Here are my 10 Reasons why:
1. Metal Gear Online customizations whoop the ass of COD4s. You can customize the guns and the outfit your guy is wearing. Plus if you do good you earn more guns and newer outfits. Just like COD4s rank system but better.
2. The Stat tracking system is a million times more in depth than COD4s "Barracks". It keeps your personal stats, matches played has leader boards and clan management. There's really nothing missing here.
3. The graphics are beautiful. On par with Singleplayers cut-scenes. With the same amazingly detailed textures and great frame rate.
4. Sons of the Patriots system is the air support. It can expose the enemy you can tag enemies so they can't just sneak around and catch you with your pants down. What does a UAV do? NOTHING! Compared to the SOP.
5. MGO has some of the best game modes I've ever seen. COD4 has the same game 3 modes just with slight tweaks. While MGO has a 5+ different amazing game modes that you can't get tired...
