14w ago - Tate Interactive GM Wojtek Bilinski has outlined Urban Trial Freestyle PS3 and PS Vita customization and challenge details today.
To quote: One of the really cool features in Urban Trial Freestyle for PS Vita and PS3 is the ability to customize your motorbike - but it's more than just picking out shiny new parts.
Bike customization is a key factor that directly affects your performance in both the Stunt and Time Attack Modes. Bike Customization allows you to adjust your bike to best meet the conditions on each of the available tracks.
Urban Trial Freestyle provides you with three main bike components to customize your vehicle - engine, chassis and wheels - customizing these parts influences three main parameters: speed, acceleration and handling.
As you advance and unlock more parts, you will ultimately have four engines, four pairs of wheels and four chassis to choose from, giving you altogether a possible of 64 combinations.
If you maximize the speed parameter, you will compromise balance (along with more rigid chassis), so you will perform better in Stunts like Highest or Longest Jump but worse in Flip Meter. When you want to beat a particular Stunt record, the choice is pretty simple and you would focus on one or two factors.
56w ago - Today Bioware Community Manager Eduardo Vasconcellos has announced that Mass Effect 3: N7 weekly challenges are coming to PSN this weekend!

Soldiers of the Milky Way - By now it is no secret that the Reaper War has had its share of logistical SNAFUs. It is to the galaxy's credit that, when we put out the call for volunteers, we were answered by individuals of every species from Citadel, Traverse, Terminus space, and most significantly for this operation, the PlayStation Network.
Unfortunately, the diversity of equipment sources meant our allies ran into hardware and software incompatibilities.
These brave men and women have been fighting beside you and, in doing so, have gone above and beyond normal duty. Because their units were not properly tracked, they fought without pay and sometimes without proper training, equipment, even rations. It is a mark of their character that these warriors of the PlayStation Network took the grave task set before us and stuck it out through sheer determination.
147w ago - Today Klei Co-Founder Jamie Cheng has detailed the challenges of Skank's PSN co-op campaign as part of an EA video interview.
To quote: I'd like to share our journey leading up to our decision to include a co-op campaign in our new title, Shank - and why we felt so strong about creating it as a separate mode altogether.
When Shank was shown at PAX 2009, there were two questions that I couldn't answer which came up over and over again. The first was, "What platform is it coming out on?" The second "is there going to be co-op?"
I answered the first question, with my own question. I stuffed our dev kit into a ghetto cardboard box, labeled with a large question-mark and strung a handful of controllers (including Atari and Dreamcast ones) from underneath it for added effect.
At the time, nobody had played Shank, and I didn't have platform approval yet. Thankfully, the gaming community and our fans spoke up, and I got my wish -- we were able to negotiate a deal to bring the game to the PlayStation Network.
The second, co-op question - proved to be much trickier.
On one hand, we felt strongly about the classic, couch-play...
226w ago - These are my personal views about how the PS3 has got into the current struggling position.
The number one problem that PS3 faced was the PS2. This was an excellent console, and it required a drastic approach to come up with something with a noticeable difference.
The number two problem is that Sony does always want to bring about change, though I am not sure if "Yes we can" is always applicable.
The PS3 is meant to change how we manage our living rooms and unfortunately these good ideas come at a price point which is not suiting the majority.
Thirdly, the rivals have played their parts, but I see Xbox 360 as mostly working for PS3, because PS3 has been able to make all these adjustments in a hurry to come up with something even more powerful.
In fact, we are the beneficiaries even though we are the most likely to find Xbox ranting annoying. What are your thoughts?

The first place winner and a guest will get to see Tanner at the Red Bull Drifting World Championships in the VIP section.
To quote: Hey, PlayStation Blog readers. Some of you may know who I am. If you do, that's great. If you don't, let me introduce myself. My name is Tanner Foust, and I'm a professional drift, rally, and ice racer. You may have seen me in a recent Play the Pros video on PSN, where I took on some Gran Turismo fans at X Games 14 this past summer before competing in the Rally Super Special race.
You may have even seen me on ESPN2 or the Speed Channel, or seen my work as a stunt driver in the Bourne Ultimatum, Dukes of Hazzard, or The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
Hot on the heels of my 2nd place finish at the Formula DRIFT Pro Championship finals earlier this month and clinching the 2008 Formula Drift Championship, I'm gearing up to represent the US against the best drifters in the world at Red Bull Drifting World Championships on November 15-16. I'll be competing with 31 of the...
