28w ago - Following up on the PS3 Factory 3.56 with Flasher news, French PlayStation 3 developer raymanvtwo has shared a way to install Rebug PS3 CFW 4.21.1 on any version PS3, however, it requires a PS3 Hardware Flasher, will format your HDD and may result in a permanently bricked console so be WARNED!
Below is a rough translation of the process, as follows: You will need just a flash, great care, attention and rigor.
This method will format the hard drive of your PS3, make sure to recover your important data. Also, you incur a risk of irreversible brick in case of bad handling. Neither I nor PS3-Addict can not be held responsible. If you are not able to follow this tutorial to the letter, thank you spend your way!

51w ago - Today Sony PlayStation 3 hackers Cyberskunk and evilsperm of Team Rebug have released a PS3 4.11 Version Spoofer 2.2 for 3.55 CFW and also a Rebug Update Package 0.7 (3.55.2) which temporarily restores PSN access once again on Custom Firmware!
While this is great news for the time being to play 3.55 titles (3.56+ won't work) online, Sony will likely release a PlayStation 3 Firmware update to block the new method being used in coming days in order to resecure PlayStation Network with an updated PSN Auth X-Platform-Passphrase (which resides in a decrypted VSH.SELF) and prevent PS3 Custom Firmware users from gaining access unfortunately.
If you are unsure if a PlayStation 3 game or patch update will work on PSN via PS3 CFW, simply extract the PARAM.SFO from the PKG and view it using a PS3 PARAM.SFO Editor to examine the PS3_SYSTEM_VER value. If it is 03.5500 or below the game will work online and the patch update can be installed.
66w ago - With the recent release of PS3 Firmware Update 4.11 comes PS3 Spoofer Enabler / Disabler 9.99 for PlayStation 3 Custom Firmware users, which currently supports Hermes, Kmeaw, Rebug and JFW CFW.
Spoofer Enabler / Disabler - This PKG spoofs files of your dev_flash (9.99), this is an example of the new Spoofer v5 incoming. Install ONLY PKG file of your CFW. I tried Spoofer 4 and works perfectly, make sure you have all correctly, Spoofer folder of RAR must be in this directory:
x:\cygwin\home\XXXXX\Spoofer (XXXX is your home folder name and "x" is your drive)
It doesn't show anything on your screen, if spoof is completed successfully, your PS3 will reboot and with version 9.99.
Well, here is various PKG for some CFW, it will spoof automatically your version to 9.99 and build number to 99999, install ONLY for your CFW. FULL = Spoofer Enabler and Spoofer Disabler included. Downloads:

3.70 Version Spoofer 2.0 is available for 3.41 and 3.55 firmware and is much faster and safer to use than the previous version spoofers. It works like the Rebug Selector and backs up your current files before activating the spoof, then auto reboots leaving no room for end-user error.
