To quote: "Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to lead the C.O.U.N.T.E.R agency to keep the world's top two superpowers, the Imperialists and the Socialists, from their dastardly plan of blowing up the moon!"

Sony Announces The Playroom: AR Studio is Out Tonight on PS4

2d ago - Sony Producer Nicolas Doucet announced today that The Playroom: AR Studio is out tonight on PS4 with details below.

To quote: Over at [Register or Login to view links], we've been hard at work on new DLC for The Playroom. We're proud to announce AR Studio will be launching later today on PS4 for the low, low price of free!

Using the PS4 Camera, The Playroom became a way for PS4 owners to broadcast live 'shows' through the Live From PlayStation app. This piece of DLC is entirely built around that central concept. With AR Studio, formerly known as Set Maker, you can use your tablet or smartphone (Android or iOS), to turn your living room into a broadcasting studio.

Fill your sets with images or photos stored on your smart device, or draw your sets from scratch. You can also add various special effects to the screen like interactive smoke and lasers using your DualShock 4 controller. You will need to download the PlayStation App for your smart device, which you can get for free on either the App Store or Google Play.

White Paper Games Announces Ether One is Coming Soon to PS4

6d ago - White Paper Games Co-founder and Game Designer Pete Bottomley announced today that Ether One is coming soon to PS4 with details below.

To quote: Hey! We're [Register or Login to view links] and we're REALLY excited to announce that we're joining the PlayStation family. We released a game called Ether One back in March 2014 on PC and we're now focused on developing on PS4.

The exciting thing about releasing on PS4 is that we'll be creating Ether One from scratch in the new Unreal Engine 4. That means it's not just a direct port, we'll be re-building it again in UE4 to make it feel great on console.

To give you a little background about our studio, we're a team of five from Manchester in the UK. Ether One was our first game and we're really proud of what we achieved in a short space of time. Like being nominated for a Develop Award in the Use of Narrative, we've been blown away by how good the response from people has been.

We have to admit, we love our PlayStation, so when Sony asked us if we wanted to be on the platform our answer was unanimously YES! Sony have been really great providing a small studio like ours with so much support and the opportunity to get onto PS4, so we'd like to give them a massive thank you. So, what is Ether One?

To quote: Hi there, readers! I'm Alessandro and I handle marketing and PR here at [Register or Login to view links]. I'm with you today to talk about our brand-new game, In Space We Brawl.

Here at the studio, we have always enjoyed couch multiplayer games. In fact, that's what we do in our lunch breaks: playing together and laughing, yelling and taunting each other.

Eventually, these emotions drove me to join Jacopo, one of our game designers, in a brainstorming session that ended up with a sketch on a napkin. And so the basic elements of In Space We Brawl started falling into place.

In Space We Brawl is a local multiplayer, twin stick shooter with a lot of innovative features. Another source of inspiration has been the classic versus beat 'em up genre, because of the diversity in the characters and the fighting styles.

We decided to elaborate on this and went for a diverse roster of spaceships and weapons: In Space We Brawl lets you try 100+ different combinations, between 11 vessels and 11 tools of space-destruction.

Toxic Games Announces Q.U.B.E. 2 is Coming to PlayStation 4

6d ago - Toxic Games Managing Director Dan Da Rocha announced today that Q.U.B.E. 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: Hello, Toxic Games here. You may have heard of our first game called Q.U.B.E, which came out on PC in 2012 and is heading to PS3 and PS4 soon. Well, we're now working on the sequel, Q.U.B.E. .

On the team we have the original line-up including myself Dan Da Rocha, Dave Hall, and Jon Savery. Since the launch of the original game we have been busy working on adding extra content to the original to form Q.U.B.E. Director's Cut and are now focusing on bringing Q.U.B.E. to PS4.

The sequel is going to refine the core mechanics of the original. There will be a slew of new and exciting puzzles that will boggle your mind, and a tightly woven narrative which will further expand the Q.U.B.E. universe. Oh, and it's being developed in Unreal Engine 4, so dem cubes are going to be extra shiny... just when you thought cubes couldn't look any better!

And to top it all off, we plan to support Project Morpheus. We've already taken the hardware for a spin and it's shaping up to be something fantastic so we can't wait to get our hands (or gloves?) on a kit to begin developing for it!
