147w ago - This weekend a new PS3 Slim model CECH-2500A complete with a 160GB PlayStation 3 hard disk drive hits Japan, and based on a comparison the updated revision is slightly more eco-friendly too!
As reported previously, a PS3 HDMI cable will also be included with the new PS3 model along with 802.11b/g WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR that was first announced pre-E3.
According to a comparison chart from JustPushStart.com (linked above), the PS3 CECH-2500A will also save the environment and video gamers money as it runs slightly more efficiently than previous PlayStation 3 models.

151w ago - Today the Examiner.com (linked above) spotted a Sony PS3 Press Release announcing that the previously reported PlayStation 3 Slim consoles will be hitting Japan this month in both Classic White and Charcoal Black, and include additional PS3 HDD space ranging from 160GB to 320GB in size with 802.11b/g WiFi alongside Bluetooth 2.0+EDR.
Available on July 29, the PlayStation 3 Slim Classic White model CECH-2500A LW offers a 160GB hard disk drive while the CECH-2500A and CECH-2500B in Charcoal Black sport 160GB and 320GB of PS3 disk space respectively and come with a PS3 HDMI cable.
To quote: "The 160GB PS3 will sell for the price of the current 120GB unit, 29,980 yen ($340.76), meanwhile the 320GB system will retail for 34,980 yen ($397.59). Depending what import shop you use, the better deal is certainly for the 320GB system."
154w ago - It's been awhile since the last PlayStation 3 FCC Reveal, but today the sleuths at Engadget.com (linked above) have uncovered new PS3 Slim Retail and PS3 Debug models via FCC just before E3 arrives.
To quote: "PlayStation 3 models CECH-2501A and CECH-2501B are both certified for 802.11b/g WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR differing only in hard disk drive configurations.
We're also seeing a pair of PS3 DECH-2500A and DECH-S2500A debugging stations - interesting since a debug unit is typically only required when there's been a change in the chips on the motherboard. Feel free to speculate as we prepare for E3 to kick off on June 15th."
