3w ago - Grip Games CEO Jakub Mikyska shared a video trailer today announcing that Jet Car Stunts launches on PS3 and PS Vita this coming Tuesday.

To quote: Hey! This is Jakub from Grip Games, and I'm here to finally announce the release date of our upcoming game Jet Car Stunts that we have been teasing for quite some time.

And it's going to be released really soon! The PS3 and PS Vita versions are launching next week, on October 7th. They will cost $7.99 and will support cross buy.

So, buying the PS3 version lets you download the PS Vita version and the other way around. The PS4 version will follow shortly. It will also have cross buy support, so if you buy the PS3 or PS Vita version now, then you'll be able to download the PS4 version, once it arrives, for free.

If you haven't seen any of the news about the game that we posted here on PlayStation.Blog, then you should know that Jet Car Stunts is a high-speed, adrenaline-fuelled hybrid between a racing game and a platformer.

You'll control a jet-engine-enabled car and will have to race against time - and other players - on the craziest tracks you have ever seen, containing loops, falls, obstacles, and mile-long jumps. See the trailer to get an idea of what Jet Car Stunts looks like and plays like.

To quote: Hello GT Fans, We're happy to announce that Update 1.12 is now available to download for GT6.

This update brings a host of new features and content. Here is just a taste of what's now available:

Toyota FT1 Vision Gran Turismo

The "TOYOTA FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo" has been released on "Gran Turismo 6″, available exclusively on PS3. The design concept FT-1 is honed to perfection in this rendition to enhance its features and designs required for pure racing competition.

The designers' original intention in designing the FT-1 was to unabashedly appeal to the die-hard car enthusiasts. This car can be earned by completing just one lap (regardless of lap time) in the new limited time FT-1 Seasonal Event.

Online Quick Match

Quick Match is a simple online racing mode that lets you take part in events with pre-determined regulations. When each individual event is entered, player matching takes place automatically, followed by the race itself. By selecting "Quick Match" from the My Home screen you can now quickly and easily join a race with players around...

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Brings Occult Mystery to PS4

11w ago - The Astronauts founder Adrian Chmierlarz announced today at Gamescom 2014 that The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is bringing Occult Mystery to PS4!

To quote: Hi! We are [Register or Login to view links], an eight-person team founded by the guys who, years ago, also founded People Can Fly, creators of Painkiller and [Register or Login to view links].

However, the game we are making right now could not be more different from what we've made in the past.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a story-driven mystery game that focuses entirely on exploration and discovery, featuring no combat or explosions of any kind. If our game leaves any scars, you won't be able to see them.

You play the game as Paul Prospero, an occult-minded detective who receives a disturbing letter from Ethan Carter. Realizing the boy is in grave danger, Paul arrives at Ethan's home of Red Creek Valley, where things turn out to be even worse than he imagined. Ethan has vanished in the wake of a brutal murder, which Paul quickly discerns might not be the only murder to investigate.

As I hope you can see from this short description, we're trying to mix pulp and horror into one cohesive experience. And...

PlayStation Vita Memory Cards Dumped by Mr.gas and Tomtomdu80

300°
13w ago - Today Wololo reports that PS Vita hackers mr.gas and tomtomdu80 have dumped Sony's PlayStation Vita Memory Cards with details below.

To quote: Progress on the native side of the Vita hacks is rare, so news like the one we are seeing today is always welcome:

Talk member mr.gas announced today that him and tomtomdu80 (whom you might remember for his VHBL port on Apache Overkill last year) were able to dump the contents of a PS Vita memory card. Although they are not sharing this content publicly for obvious reasons, they have given reasonable proof that their work is totally legit.

This is the first time we see such a dump being announced publicly, since developer katsu released technical documentation on how to copy Vita game cartridges' content more than 6 months ago. Keep in mind that his announce was for game cartridges, while we are talking of a memory card here.

Sony uses proprietary memory cards on the PS Vita, which makes them virtually impossible to read without any additional hardware.

Additionally, it is believed the content...

Bamtang Games: Kilka Card Gods on PS Vita: The Peruvian Influence

50°
17w ago - Bamtang Games Creative Director Adam Johnston detailed the Peruvian influence in Kilka Card Gods on PS Vita below today.

To quote: Have you had a chance to play Kilka Card Gods yet? The latest game from our studio, Bamtang Games, was released on June 10th for PS Vita - the first ever self-published launch by a Latin American game development studio on the PlayStation platform.

Needless to say, we're all excited here! Kilka Card Gods is the result of several years of development efforts, and we're extremely happy that one of our games is paving the way for more games developed in Peru and Latin America to be released for PlayStation.

We're especially proud about Kilka Card Gods because the game has been an opportunity for us to portray many elements from Peruvian culture. There are few games that have included Peru as part of their narrative, and in most cases, developers haven't paid much attention to the way Peru and its culture were presented in their games.

With Kilka, we set out to change that and show that things could be done differently - that the richness of Peruvian culture could be accurately and elegantly captured in a way that borrows from tradition while at the same time crafting new stories and characters that players could fall in love with.
