56w ago - Sony Creative Director Brian Upton at Santa Monica Studio has shared a new video trailer and the Final US box art for Sorcery on the PlayStation 3 today!

To quote: Now that we're a month out from the May 22nd launch of Sorcery, I'm pleased to show off our final box art, along a brand new trailer that dives in the story behind this much anticipated PlayStation Move title.

Some elements of the story were remarkably consistent throughout development process, while some have changed quite dramatically. The two main characters - Finn, the sorcerer's apprentice, and Erline, his magical cat - were there almost from the beginning.

We always knew they were on a quest to reach the Slumbering Palace at the heart of the Faerie Realm. However, WHY they were on this quest, and WHO was trying to stop them kept shifting. Here's a look...

A lot of the details of the story grew organically out of gameplay. The team would have a cool idea for an enemy or a puzzle or an encounter and I'd weave the rest of the narrative around it.





For example, the civilization of the bogeys (an early-game enemy) is crude and brutal because that's how they behave when they attack. And a lot of the mythology...

57w ago - Today it appears Amazon.com jumped the gun with Sony's suspected God of War: Ascension reveal by publishing the game's product page a day early alongside the PS3 box art and a teaser trailer video below!

To quote from GameInformer.com (linked above): "God of War: Ascension for PlayStation 3 seems to be a prequel to the original trilogy, before Kratos became the Ghost of Sparta.

Not much else is known about the story, however. The listing notes, "Join Kratos as he seeks freedom, redemption, and the clarity to avenge his family in the most ambitious God of War adventure in the series so far."

The product page, which is active at the time of this publishing, also contains a short CG teaser trailer. The listing indicates the game is out sometime in 2013, but no official release date has been revealed."

105w ago - Today Insomniac Games Senior Community Manager James Stevenson has officially revealed the Resistance 3 PS3 box art and logos to fans.

To quote: Today we're proud to reveal the Resistance 3 box art that you can hold in your hands when the game hits store shelves on September 6th. You should recognize right away that this graphic version of the Chimeran Skull with the New York skyline depicted as its teeth, as well as the stylized version of the Resistance franchise logo, isn't your typical "rendered hero" box art.

To create this new look, we partnered with Olly Moss, a talented British artist, to create a bold vision of the Resistance 3 box art for both the North American and European territories.

The Resistance team worked closely with Olly to share our vision for the Chimera-occupied 1957, and Joesph Capelli's journey across the destroyed USA to his destination, New York City. You'll see this in the alternate version of the art below, which shows Capelli walking towards the NYC skyline.

We wanted Olly's work to reflect that in Resistance 3, YOU are the Resistance. Resistance 3 isn't a military shooter, as the United States Army and SRPA have been destroyed. Instead, Resistance 3 is about the remnants...

132w ago - Update: According to 4news.it (and IGN UK), the official release dates of Gran Turismo 5 for PS3 are: November 26 in EU (including Italy), November 27 in the US and November 30 in the UK.

Last month we reported that Gran Turismo 5 for PS3 was delayed but would arrive before Christmas, and today Hrabi at GTPlanet.net appears to have confirmed that sharing some pictures of what appears to be a leaked EUR GT5 PlayStation 3 game, box art and GT5 PS3 Trophies.

According to NicaGamerz.com, this copy is made in Austria where it was apparently given to reviewers and leaked, followed by a picture of what may be the first person in the world playing Gran Turismo 5 shown below.
