James Bond 007 Blood Stone USA Requires 3.50 PS3 Firmware

180w ago - Similar to how Medal of Honor required PlayStation 3 Firmware 3.42 until a workaround followed by a fix surfaced, today James Bond 007 Blood Stone USA was released by DEFECT for PS3 JailBreak users, and the NFO File states it requires PS3 Firmware 3.50.

While the European version only requires Firmware 3.41, I have gotten the USA scene release version of James Bond 007 Blood Stone working fine here.

Although it initially requires PS3 Firmware 3.50, I modified the SFO File to version 3.41000 and removed the game's update folder.

Then I simply used the EBOOT.bin file from the MRN European version and it's now running on my JailBroken PS3 console. The game is currently...

Video: James Bond: Blood Stone for PS3 London Event Report

193w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has shared a video report today featuring James Bond: Blood Stone PS3 highlights from the recent London event.

To quote: While we may have to wait a little longer for the next installment in the James Bond series, gamers and Bond fans can take a quantity of solace in the fact that the suave super agent is getting the videogame treatment from blur developer, Bizarre Creations with James Bond: Blood Stone, a wholly original 007 epic penciled in for release later in 2010.

While much of the plot - from a script by Bruce Feirstein, the writer behind GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough - is being kept under wraps for now, we do know that Blood Stone's globe trotting thrills and spills are set against a backdrop that involves the diamond trade, a missing scientist and a new Bond Girl: Joss Stone.

Yes, Joss Stone. The lovely Miss Stone, who was in attendance at the announcement, has also co-written and performed the games' theme song 'I'll Take It All' with former Eurythmics man, Dave Stewart; it's a catchy one!

At the swanky event, Activision and developer Bizarre Creations showcased the game's opening mission, a self-contained pre-credit sequence that...

Team Bondi Seeking More Talent for L.A. Noire Production

50°
261w ago - Every time we see the title "L.A. Noire" in the news, we always tense up in anticipation of bad news. After all, this is a project that seems to have struggled through a lengthy development process, and there was even talk of a cancellation at some point.

But as Joystiq pointed out, the latest update should be considered encouraging. Team Bondi (also responsible for The Getaway) is looking for plenty of talented individuals to join the team, perhaps in an attempt to push through the final stages.

They're looking for everything from animators to artists to coders to designers, so if you think you've got the skills, perhaps you'd like to apply. If not, and you're merely looking for good news concerning L.A. Noire, then you should be somewhat satisfied. Although we'd like to assume that development has reached a critical stage, we still have no official update on the team's progress.

Our last update said the game would be about a year away, and that was last fall; September, to be exact. Therefore, E3 may be the time when Rockstar announces a concrete release date for this long-awaited crime thriller, and if that happens, it'll be big news indeed.

Anyway, we'll let you know if there's any movement on the L.A. Noire front; at this point,...
