PS Plus: Binary Domain and Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath Free

200°
48w ago - Sony Senior Community Specialist Kristine Steimer is here with this weeks PlayStation Plus updates today, which include Binary Domain and Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath free for members.

To quote: Chances are, if you picked up a PlayStation 4 last week you're still enjoying our PS4 PlayStation Plus titles, RESOGUN and Contrast, and that's totally cool. However, if you're anxiously waiting for your PS4 to arrive later this holiday season, we've got you covered with a new PlayStation 3 and PS Vita game this week.

Binary Domain, a futuristic third-person squad-based shooter, is hitting the PS3 Instant Game Collection tomorrow. Morality meets gunfire, Binary Domain's Consequences System means you'll need to be aware of your actions - how your squad views you can impact the game as well as how the storyline progresses.

On PS Vita there's Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, an action-adventure where you step into the role of Stranger, a bounty hunter. Whether or not you head into your bounties guns blazing or prefer a more stealthy approach is up to you, as well as whether you apprehend your subjects alive or dead.

Your main goal is to earn as much money as possible, so it's kind of like real life.

You can take advantage of all these PS Plus benefits after the PlayStation Store...

Video: Sony on Binary Domain PS3 - The Machine Age Has Begun

300°
138w ago - SEGA Digital Campaigns Manager Mike Kebby has shared a few video trailers today of Binary Domain for the PS3 entertainment system below proclaiming the machine age has begun!

To quote: I know it was only a week ago since I was last here re-introducing Binary Domain, but it brings me great pleasure to actually be here discussing the game now that it's actually available to purchase in the shops (as of this very moment).

Allow me to give you a quick recap about the game before I get into more detail about the multiplayer modes offered for your enjoyment. Playing as Dan Marshall you're caught in the middle of a fast paced and intense battle for humanity in a robot-infested 2080 Tokyo.

When an illegal robot-human hybrid known as a 'hollow child' attacks an American robotics corporation, the world as humanity knows it changes forever. Dan's mission, as part of the peace-keeping R.U.S.T. crew, sees him and his squad mates fighting through both the slums of the derelict lower city and the vastly contrasting wealthy upper city environments in order to get to the bottom of recent events.

What begins as a search for the truth evolves into the squad questioning their surroundings and the choices they make; are the robots becoming more human, or are humans becoming more like...

Video: Sony Re-Introduces The World of Binary Domain on PSN

100°
140w ago - Sony PlayStation Store Manager Mike Kebby has re-introduced the world of Binary Domain on PSN today to fans.

To quote: The Machine Age Has Begun - I'm sure you'll have already heard of [Register or Login to view links]'s forthcoming game Binary Domain - from the legendary creator that is Toshihiro Nagoshi - so for most of you this is something of a re-introduction.

For those of you who haven't then please allow me the pleasure of giving you the lowdown on our forthcoming title.

The narrative focus of the game is thus: the world is a much different place in the year 2080 and catastrophic climate changes since the 20th century have forced the major nations of the planet to adapt to new ways of living. Rising sea levels have wreaked havoc on many countries, resulting in new cities being built upward, and on top, of the older ruins of once-great metropolises.

Thankfully, incredible innovations in robotic technology have made these changes easier on humanity. Due to the huge undertaking of rebuilding existing cities, robots were manufactured at an incredibly fast rate in order to relieve a lot of the strain on manual labour supply.

Before people knew it, robots were everywhere and had taken over many of the other difficult and menial tasks that...
